Caught my shirt on fire yesterday with the 5" zip disc on grinder. That's it. I am buying this saw. Getting too old for all those sparks.

I use a portable model (Harbor Freight) in the upright mode to shape stock for knives and the lower mode to cut raw stock. Best investment i EVER made. A standard bandsaw cannot do even HALF of the things i need

Right now Northern Tool has the Klutch floor model that also converts to cut vertically on sale for $249. Yours is a nice model, too as it saves a lot of space. Great video.

I bought this saw and have used it alot in my short time owning it. Just cut 2x4x1/4 in. tubing on it and was suprised how good it cut it. I don't usually cut anything that big in it. I am impressed with it.

I changed my screws for that big cover to Allen bolts. Was easyer to take the cover off and on.

I was going to get a plasma cutter for cutting out metal for exhaust manifolds for small engines but this with a table might work better

I modified a 12 wood cutting vertical band saw, while the HF saw and the SWAG table was awesome I kept running into the same clearance issue you highlighted on your video. What my saw combo is a HF type horizontal and my modified 12” Craftsman vertical. This works well for me

When are we going to get a full shop tour? I want to see the messy corner/shelf, aswell, we all have one. I like this type of REAL review, a bit of equipment that has obviously been used.

Using the portable table you can add to your vise, can you scroll-cut thin metal? Can you install narrow blades to do so ?

Yeah, I went with a Bauer portable band saw after trying the Chicago Electric vertical, horizontal with base, it was a disaster couldn't get the blade to track correctly it actually cut into the guide. Took it back and got the Bauer, which is a good saw, but I need something with a base and vise. Got a chop saw and wish I hadn't it is a mess, through sparks all day and couldn't even cut through 2" x 2" square tubing. The Bauer cuts through it well enough, but I'm free handing it and not getting accurate cuts. All in all, wish I would have gone with the Klutch.

ought it a couple of years ago. Don't know how I worked without it. Replaced the blade after my first big cutting job. Often cut 4" x 1/2" steel plate with no problem. How do you hold it in the verticle position? I need to do the conversion to vertical for some jobs.

Not just body work does that flexible ratchet work well with, but aviation...I have a couple.

I think you need me to hook up that single compartment sink beside the sandblaster 😉😎

Does it lock into the vertical position for when you use that table? Edit: Lol, nevermind. I just watched your vid from when you bought it. But did you, or can you straighten out the forward leaning blade... so it's cutting perpendicular & square?

Good video ,I have one myself the only problem I see is the blade coming off from the two wheel you have any idea why this happens?

Do you think the noise level on this inexpensive unit is much less than a dry-cut chop saw?

I got one of these a few months back worked grate till the gearbox exploded. The baring housing for the drive wheel is plastic so if you get the blade to tight the gears get miss alined and brake. They did send me a brad new one though.

How do you keep the blade on it. Mine kicks the blade every other cut
