Great vid John. Have used demon foam in a bucket on my black every day car for years and in a foam cannon on my xk8 since I got it. About to order the auto glym through your link as looks the more competent cleaner for the less competent washer!😁

Very fair test. I use Autobrite Magifoam on my XK8. Probably have it a lot more "foamy" than you so it stays on the car a bit longer. You dilute this one as well and it appears to be a similar price to the Autoglym.

Hi... John , good VID.I remember ... I have to wash my Volvo too. we have a lot of gulls here, they make a lot of dirt. it has to be removed beforehand and then washed. regards Udo.

I’ve only ever tried the Autoglym one. I think it smells good! Not tried diluting but then I only have a foam gun that attaches to a regular hose, not a pressure washer. Been pleased with the results, will try diluting in future to see if it works with my set up.

I have never used foam, but because of your video's it has sparked and interest, obviously Autoglym is way better but would have loved to see you do it full strength. At the end of the day what ever makes it easier for me I am all for it, even if it costs a little extra.

Hi John, There should be a "wallet warning" on your site, your good ideas often end up costing me $$$. Our cars are only washed when it rains, drought for the last 10 years !, so, I had not even heard of snow foam. I went to buy a bottle for my K2 & came away with a package of nozzle with bottle of Karcher foam, FJ 10 C, in a convenient 1 stop shop. As it is German one assumes it should be good, &, frankly I found it excellent. Started with our old "truck", Disco TDi & then moved on to the the back end of the XK8 as that was sticking out of the carport & is where all the dust accumulates from our track, aka road in QLD. Very good results all round especially considering the TDi , which has not been baptised for years. All I have to do is refill the click on/off bottle, used about a third for the above washing, & thought the Karcher price was very competitive compared to auto branded products. Cheers

I have a black car and in the winter the sunny side dried noticeably quicker than the shade side. If I were the suppliers of Demon Foam I would object that the speed of drying and therefore less effectiveness would be down to the sun on a black surface

It was 12 degrees C with no wind Timothy so whilst I register the fact that in a perfect experiment I would have turned the car through 180 degrees at the half way point, It was very clear that the Autoglym had a much longer cling time.

Sorry John, but I have to agree with Timothy. Having a black car myself I know for a fact that on any day the sun shines, regardless of the ambient temperature, the sunny side is measurably warmer than the shade side. Even if it’s covered in Chicago snow. A fair test would have had the entire car in the shade. Having said that, I think your results would be same. The bonnet clearly showed the difference of the premium foam. Keep the content coming. It’s all good.

I use the carplan stuff from my local auto shop . You should dilute it as I do . Just use same amount in your bottle topped up with hot/warm water

Try some Bilt Hamber Touchless, that will do the best job and cleaning and you can dilute is so much it will probably be cheaper.

Hi John ... Today I ran out of the Meguiar's snow foam that I have been using, so have taken a punt on the Autoglym. Currently £14.85 via your link, so only £6 per litre. Meguiar's is on offer at £17.99 for 946ml at Halfords, so I owe you a pint sometime.

i use polar blast in an autoglym foam lance and find it gives much better results .than karcher lance .

Hi John. I've been using polar blast for the last few months I think I made the right choice 😁 I also use Autoglyms lance, it's far better than the karcher one which I binned in disgust 😁

Yes, John….you’ve proven that if you don’t wash a car properly, it does not get the dirt off it….!! No doubt your jags get a lot more attention than the JK…and yes, like all things in life, you get what you pay for…
