Love this performance and particularly appreciated the centre guitar players fashion sense. I wish all the players were dressed like him. It would have added to the enjoyment. But I see they are practically strangers and don’t normally play together. Which makes their performance even more marvellous.

Je suis Manouche Français et cousin germain de DORADO SCHMITT. Chez nous la musique coule dans nos veines et j'ai rarement entendu un groupe aussi proche de la musique de Django. J'adore leur style, ils sont vraiment très bon. Il devait venir à Forbach qui abrite le plus grand nombre de musiciens Manouche du territoire véritablement référence du jazz en France, la ville où habite DORADO et ses enfant SAMSON et AMATI tous des musiciens monstrueux. Tous les ans entre fin mai et début juin nous faisons un festival de jazz Manouche, nous serions très heureux de les recevoir chez nous un de ces jours. Bravo les gars et je vous dis à bientôt.

I went on a pilgrimage to Liberchies (Belgium) where Django was born and then to his grave in Samois (France) where he went fishing nearly every day. I’m even more obsessed now.

This video is literally healing me I've gone through a month-long highly upsetting & scary experience. Since the seventies i have listenned to a lot of gypsy jazz. I saw Grappelli in 84. With Didier Lockwood. Another time i saw Rosenberg Trio with guest Jimmy Rosenberg. All i meant to say is what i'am listening to now is top notch. The best i heard in a long time. "Sur la coche" like we say in Quebec. 🐸
