Dolby Audio and Dolby Atmos are written on sound bars. So, Dolby Atmos creates a 3D environment with ceiling or upfiring speakers. And while Dolby Audio has audio separation, it does not offer ceiling speaker audio experience. Both provide 95% same experience..

I have been crazy for speakers since childhood, first speaker bought was a 2.1 philips and then I bought my first soundbar like 5 years ago yamaha yas 108, then bought a yamaha subwoofer for that soundbar was really happy with it and then right now I am using a samsung Q900A, awesome sound. The technique I use is research (i do for speakers like 2 or 3 months) choose what you want and wait. Q900A was the best when it was launched 3 years ago (Q950A was the flagship model, but Q900A had the same soundbar and subwoofer but satellite speakers was the only thing missing) it was selling for 87 thousand rupees waited for 3 years, price dropped to 34 thousand and bought it. Every year new model comes but there is hardly like 5 percent improvement in sound, so always go for older model like 2 or 3 years old.

I have a big drawing room with very high ceiling (the old hindi movie styles with Staircase), and getting proper sound has been a challenge. What soundbar would you suggest for a room with high ceiling? The ceiling is more like a theater that goes higher from the TV towards the end.

Review of Samsung t42e/xl - purchased for Rs 7425 on this year February. the bass is just wow (bass sounds like auditoriums), it lacks treble (highs) but the soundbar is loud enough for 200sq.ft room. The vocals are pretty good for TV watching like movies, shows and music (and dramas too!). It has warm sound signature with deep bass up to 40Hz (tested). Using with Xiaomi 5A Smart TV via Bluetooth. I recommended it for users who have rooms up to 200sq.ft and listens to English & Bollywood pop, EDM music, R&B Music, Bass-Heavy Music (like rap) or watch reality shows and dramas! Not recommended for romantic, sad, soft and feeling music lover or someone who want music for relax purpose, but it can turn your small (150sq.ft) room into a nightclub! Have an adrenaline rush with it!

I am surprised that you didn’t speak about Bose or Sonos which are the amongst the highest quality soundbars available today. Also I think JBL was missing in your list

Bose and JBL are both there, but found the recommended ones better. Sonos was beyond the budget shortlisted. Like I said - premium soundbars are not included here.

@@TheGrapevineIndiahave gone through the list in detail and don’t see any Bose. May be some screenshot had an entry level Bose, but no Soundbar 600/900 etc..JBL has also been considered for only entry level soundbars, where as JBL goes all the way, some even more expensive than Bose.

I have listed to few soundbars from all the brands compared. Deep bass in JBL is definitely good for music. The Samsung one recommended in the similar range as JBL is good for both music and movies.

great video!, you should prioritize the order of importance, for the reader to keep watching "oof this is important, i should keep watching because she knows her shit" like if you said this at first "the soundbar you need depends on the roomsize you set it in, so theres no point in spending more, for example you only need 150w for upto 150sqft, so if you bought something with 300w or 400w, approx 10k more. it would be completely useless" this is like tying the viewer to watch the video right at the start i can tell your really trying to grow your channel here are somethings i noted >the value you provide is immense, but you should rearrange the script for the viewer to keep watching and to feel the importance of what your explaining >your video title is vague ( because you seem to state everythign about soundbars at the start and not the best soundbars in 2024 rightaway) you couldve said sum like "if you just want to know what the best soundbars are go to 03:01 time line" but only after you say the room size problem, other wise they would just skip it entirely. >and the editing, its decent but the random pop ups or bell icon things "support out channel", really annoying. >sound and mic quality is really great. id genuinely subsricbed to you bec of the quality of content and the value you give, please keep that up at all times

Your content is usually top notch but I must say the recommendation for premium soundbar is clearly out of touch. It is absolutely necessary to have Dolby Atmos enabled soundbars with upfiring speakers to enjoy the content produced these days in the way movie makers intend the sound to be heard . The difference between Dolby Atmos in a good soundbar with a non Dolby Atmos regular soundbar is equivalent to the quality difference between a SD TV and 4K TV.

Thanks :) Be rest assured Dolby Atmos was definitely one of the parameters considered as discussed. And that's available in premium sound bars, but not in the budget ones and is one of the biggest differentiators between budget and premium ones. It helps to unpack the sound into various channels to ensure great audio quality!

Madam, why haven't you mentioned any about Dolby Atmos capable models. DTS is ancient whereas ATMOS has the potential to become the standard for spacial hifi experience.

Wrong. DTS is equally as capable as dolby, dolby atmos is just a decoding format and DTS has it's own called DTS:X. Streaming services rarely use dts however for lossless formats like blurays, DTS-HD Master audio is very frequently used.

I do not wish to argue here. DTS (launched in 1993) remains ancient compared to atmos (that came after 2014).

DTS and dolby go neck and neck usually. We don't see DTS that often cause it mostly for lossless media like blurays instead of the day to day streaming services.

I like your reviews..but may be you are new to soundbars. The best premium soundbar is not sony but Samsung HW-Q990D. Even the last year models from samsung are way better than sony, bose or any other. Samsung has done a partnership with Harman kardon and earlier they sold only in premium markets like us, uk and Aus. I importedone from Aus in 2020, as i heard one abroad and none of the indian models could match it. For the past 2 years, Samsung have started bring their premium lineup to India which has 17 channels i think. Do check and experience their top of the line and update this video again :)

Hey thanks for the feedback! yes. I briefly clarified in the video. This did not include the more premium soundbars beyond 25k. Upto that pricepoint is a sweetspot for most indian consumers. Ys new to soundbars category, so next video will incorporate all feedback I’m receiving ☺️

As of 6-8 years ago , Samsung HAS bought HARMON group...but Harmon continues production of their high quality product range under their various company brands(JBL/CROWN/etc) ...for the Upper segment/HighEnd & Professional Audio markets...

Sound bars are a poor compromise in places/ homes of very small listening areas..for .. though being compact..they are really higher priced only because of its novelty..and manufacturers and dealers are making big bucks on it fuelled by customers ignorance of what a really good H.T. system with seperate speakers is really about....

I consider it a ‘middle ground’ from a cost and convenience point of view - definitely a step lower than full home theatre systems. But definitely better than what’s already in the tv.

@@TheGrapevineIndia what's in a TV. is only a stereo speaker pair...And a modern day TV can be easily hooked up to a powerful stereo amp or even a simple good quality 2.1 setup. In such cases the soundbar/ HT.setup is superfluous and a waste of money specially for customers who do not opt for satellite HD reception (this supports 5.1 on some broadcasts only )..as far as cable sound reception the less said the better.

I also want to purchase but it's price is higher even after 4 years it's a 2020 model and the budget soundbar of Sony does not provide you the deep bass which others do its only for the upper bass no chest thumping bass. I am using moto amhisoundx vibe 250W it incredible bass is excellent it easily beats the budget category soundbar of bigger brands. Sound clarity no doubt it's good, excellent separation and crystal clear sound you will get. It has 8" subwoofer with 50hz frequency feel the bass. Bad news is that it's out of stock. Alternative option zebronics 900 it is far better than moto amphisoundx vibe 250W as it's RMS output is 360W (180w each) capable of bringing your house down as it also has 8" inch subwoofer 😅 it breaks the glass window of house power of 40hz that much deep bass it has you will never go above the volume 5.
