After testing Stabbomancer a bit, it's definitely stronger early on because it requires much less setup and gives a whole bunch of flat damage increase, but it mainly benefits your gun damage as opposed to spell damage. Every BL has been focused on gunz, gunz, gunz. This is the first time I get to break from that and use only abilities (spells) so I’m taking full advantage of ambihextrous and only using skillpoints for spell related bonuses. Combined with some spells that have short CD and multiple casts/continuous casts, there’s no running into a dry spell! *ba-dum-tiss* It’s probably not the most “efficient” but it’s fun and that’s all I need.

Just some food for thought. Don't spec into "Mage Armor" but still spec into "Glass Cannon." This will prevent your shield from recharging while giving you +30% Spell Damage (and roughly 15% gun damage). Now farm Ribula (Skeleton Mage at very beginning of game; First Boss) and get a Cursed Wit shield. Cursed wit gives damage reduction to you AND 100% bonus damage to damage dealt to nearby enemies while DEPLETED. Your skill KEEP it depleted so you keep the shield buffs :)

Loving the spell system they put together in this game. It’s like Hades and Borderlands had a baby. I won’t nerd out completely about my build but I can’t recommend THE BEST SPELL EVER from a quest in the desert elevator zone enough! And it’s ONLY A TRIBUTE

i've been rocking a deadshot companion build that spawns like 6 hydras every time i cast a spell, it's quite fun with a cryo last rites shotgun as the primary weapon

Not using dark hydra but using the extra damage per companion seems like a miss. You get so much damage per companion plus having companions doing damage is super nice

I leveled Spellshot and went with the Spellshot capstone until 40. At 40 I then specced into the Graveborn capstone, and leaned hard on Kill Skills, Hydra, the thing that gives me 6% damage for every companion, and high spell cooldown and spell damage, and I seem to just melt everything. It's almost boring. I'll probably have to respec when I get to chaos farming, but playing through story on hard difficulty at level 40 this build is a lot of fun.

The companion is super good for when you get super low on health he will die off and you'll live on, which is very helpful in boss fights

My biggest problem is I feel stuck with the spells that I have because they have such huge base damage and tons of buffs to spell damage/spell crit/etc... I'm only level 27 tho and I'm sure I'll find others. I just really want some quick casting ice and dark spells but I'm stuck with the same ice seeker and lightning ball

Me: watching leveling guide to help with my build so I can get through content easier. Also me: dying even faster after following guide because my gear is so bad from the horrendous drops that none of the synergies in the build even work.

What would you suggest for re farming gear for the chaos levels?

I love using the Pushpin pistol with Spellshot, since it only has one bullet in the chamber and a really fast reload time that is almost unnoticeable (0.9s on my current one). Solid pistol damage and a good method of keeping constant Spellweave stacks and replenishing Ward via Mage Armor.

I love the Twister Spell. Damage wise it seems to do a lot and it helps push even some bosses

I have a question about spellshot power because I'm not sure exactly how it works and I can't find anything online about it either. For example I'll use my low level spellshot character for ease. Which is about 20% with 5 stacks maximum of spellweaving at 50%. So does it: 1) add 20% on 50% = 70% damage increase 2) 20% of 50% = 10% = 60% damage increase I'm just confused on it all because when testing on a ice spike spell without any spellshot power is 845 damage and 900 with 20% spellshot power

Ur missing out on mega damage from graveborn tree. Even though it's 20% chance to activate it is sooooo worth does crazy big damage

I think you are interpreting the class power stat incorrectly. +55% spellshot power probably means that each stack gives 15.5% spell damage, not 55%. Going by your logic would mean that your demi-lich should have 0 health and damage.

Is the UI for Spellweaving stats bugged? When hovering over Spellweaving, it shows the Current Effect for Spell Damage as 10% no matter what my Spellshot power is.

Helpful guide, but why do so many KZfaqrs insist on mispronouncing Ambihextrous? It's four syllables, not five. It's not Ambi-Hex-Tri-ous. It's Ambi-Hex-trous. Anyway, my initial combo was Spellshot + Stabb, mainly for the 30% increased crit chance and a few other passives, but while they can help overall damage, the Graveborn seems to actually increase survivability and increase spell use. Also, Faithful Thralls works with *any* companion, which includes hydras you summon via spell, or from reloading.

Getting a little worried about the weapon selection in this game. Mind you I'm still in early game but everyone is recommending the same two guns vs B3 where even early on people were finding tons of great different weapon styles. Now it's just cryo and crossbows.

I was doing 200k damage in chaos 20 and respeced to try a new build then went back to the original 200k build but I’m only doing 5k damage. Same gear and everything. All enchantments for my build and all. Has anyone experienced this?

How do we get the guns ?

I’m spellshot/stabo with extremely high spell dmg, spell crit, crit dmg, and good legendary guns and i’m struggling to do dmg in end game chaos 3+ in a four man while i watch my teamates with companion builds shred enemies. Any tips? I feel like spellshot is weak in a 4 man difficulty setting. And i’m using two barrages that are 500+ dmg times 1000% spell dmg and still don’t melt bosses or badasses.

As someone who has ADD/ ADHD bro less fucking detail. Your video could have been 3 to 6 minutes shorter. Most players, like myself who are a bit above average, who come to look for info don't care about 14.75% of this that could possibly stack on that potential 45% combined with the holy hand grenade of antiok damage. Video was very helpful just a bear to get threw. Pro ADD tip bud, and I do do this, before I have to go have meetings with my boss who always wants to have a what can be better pow-wow, I write down exactly what I want to say on the meeting topic, and then 2 little spits on "what can be better" takes his normal 90 minute sit down; to a cool in and out under 25 minutes. Also keeps me on topic so I can get back to managing shit. And before the fan boi start in, I empathize with this content creator whole heartedly, been living with said show cased issues since I was 9, and I'm 40, so I come from a place of understanding and encouragement.
