In the Twentieth Episode of The Best Star Wars Character of All Time Series, I go over "The Hero of a Thousand Faces", Luke Skywalker. In Part 1C of this Luke Skywalker Character Analysis, I talk about the qualities and events that make Luke Skywalker such a special character in the Original Trilogy.
I'm sure everyone has someone they picture as the Best Star Wars Character, and I know I have quite a few. My goal in this Star Wars Video Essay is to show how many great characters there are and why any one of them could be considered the greatest star wars character of all time.

The trash compactor scene is from Luke farming background. As on a farm it's all hands on deck and constantly finding a solution to survive. This is why he is able to find stop the compactor and realize there was an animal without distraction while Leia and Han argued. He wasn't focused on who is in charge he was focus on getting the task done.

Last point: Luke and Han have the same age differences as Obi Wan and Anakin. However they see each others as equals with no formalities allowing a more authentic friendship to grow and learning from one another.

On the Death Star Luke shows a lot of simlarites to Padme. Him being a mediator between Han and Leia is much like Padme mediating between Obi Wan and Anakin. Also the scene were Luke and Leia take the long route is similar to Padme taking the long route during the battle of Naboo. Also seeing the potential in others is a trade mark of both Mother and son

Yes. I always thought that Luke is more like Padme and Leia more like Anakin.

Exactly, even though Luke has no memory of Padme (his eyes were closed when he looked at Padme) he’s more like his mother than he realized. Luke inherited Padme’s heart, and because of that he was able to se the good in Anakin and to save him from darkness.

@@rasmuskjrbyepetersen8862w right you are, Leia is more brash, impulsive, and passionate which is a lot like Anakin. Luke is more like Padme, and he proved that Padme was right about Anakin all along, there was good in Anakin.

Luke has Padme's facial structure and nose with Anakin's coloring and chin. Leia has Anakin's facial structure and nose with Padme's coloring and chin.

Any chance for an addendum back to Obi Wan since the Kenobi show released?

It's definitely on the table. I known that I want to also do characters that are mostly in things outside the films like Ahsoka, Rex, etc. So when I get to them I'm leaning towards adding extra parts to characters that I already covered that are in other media like say the Clone Wars, Rebels, etc. So the Kenobi show could be one of those additions too
