Also, I know you prooobably couldn't care less but I wanna talk about it so here we go, my top four (not in any order) are probably Mariah, Robert, Jaime, and Lauren. Everyone's crazy talented, but I don't know something about those four really makes me happy so there ya go. I also may be biased because TGWDLM was my first musical so these four pushed their way into my heart before people like Dylan and Meredith had a chance - maybe unfair, but I can't control it so. I feel like I can't rank them because their voices are all totally different. Jaime's got this awesome belt with a kind of swingy quality to it - I'm not doing a great job of explaining, but her voice is so strong and jazzy and fun and she KILLS the loud, long notes. Mariah's got a great powerful voice - it's sweet in a way, but the punch it packs is wOW. Her high notes are great, but you can really see the power in the lower notes - like the end of Not Your Seed? Lauren has a lighter, sweeter Disney Princess voice - that's not to say she can't belt, because she totally can, but even when she does it's got this light quality and her voice is just really pretty okay. And then there's Robert - he's got such a gorgeous, powerful, vibrato-y voice (yes that's a word. Now.) that shakes your soul. I talked about the power in Mariah's voice, and Robert's got it too, in a different way. His high notes are clear and strong and his low notes make my heart go brooeoOEooeommmmmm. In conclusion everyone at Starkid is insanely talented and these four just happened to worm their way into my soul before the others thank you for coming to my Ted Talk.

He may have a big range but only the middle of it sounds really good. No hate at all I love all the starkid actors/actresses but in my opinion Joey was in a pretty good place.

absolutely swap her with Rachel (who sounds a bit harsh for me- i think she uses her jaw to sing too much and not enough air esp on the high notes)

@@blacktigers98 yes but i think one of the reasons she’s so high on the list is that she really knows how to convey the emotions of the song through her singing. she may not have the best technique but when she sings you feel every second of it.

I agree. Meredith has so much control and Rachael sounds screechy sometimes. I do think that was because the Princess from Twisted was a bit too high for her range. Mother from TTTO fit her much better.

Jeff doesn't have the technique that's needed for his songs. He lacks both stamina and breathing control. However he could probably improve fast with a proper coach.

Brenna Bug fact is he doesn’t have a musical voice. His voice is so rock like that it doesn’t fit their musicals. That’s why he was so good in Holy Batman because it was written like that. Honestly Brian Holden should be higher than him

I've left this kind of comment in most places mentioning Jeff's falsetto, but I think it's fine...for comedic purposes. Whenever one of his characters does it in a serious context, at least for me, the emotional momentum grinds to a halt (see Monsters and Men Reprise, McNamara should just never go into falsetto in general as a character, imo).

i love how in depth this comment is! for jeff, he's very ballsy with his singing in pushing the envelope which i appreciate, but unfortunately, some of his high notes are a little rough. for darren, he has such a clear sounding voice if that makes sense, and i just love his tone. for brolden, he's an amazing performer, but his voice isn't specifically what makes him stand out. for meredith, i frickin love meredith so much, but her voice isn't as strong as the others, in my opinion. her acting and stage presence though are off the charts. for joe, again, he is an incredible performer and actor, and he has improved so so so much. still, he isn't an amazing singer. for rachael, her voice is very unique, so not everyone is gonna love it. i really like her voice, and she is good at being able to be very powerful but then switching to being very soft. for lauren, she has a great range and just always sounds great in my opinion. these are all just my opinions though!

I'm glad someone else agrees with me on Jeff. I don't find his voice pleasant at all, and he isn't always on key. Rachael is always in tune, but her voice is definitely like a Kristin Chenoweth type where it can be grating. Her duets sound really lovely, though!

I love Rachael so much but I do feel like she should’ve been lower on the list and I personally might not have put Jeff on the list,,, everyone in Starkid is godly but sometimes he struggles though I love his vibrato so much. Meredith, now - she should be top 5 in my opinion. I love her so much.

@@breadroll_sk A year late, but Britney sang "One Thousand And One Nights" at the end of Twisted. The "Disney Pop" Version with Carlos Valdes. Starkid really should have featured her like they did with most of their cast. She has a phenomenal voice.
