The textbooks are enough in terms of reading material. Taking practice exams will also be very important to prepare for the exam. Hi Sandip, glad to help. There aren't levels in the CMA designation. Candidates need to pass two exams to get certified.

Hi Lashaye, it's a very doable endeavor. it'll require planning ahead and scheduling your study sessions. Working with a proven study plan you may only need between 8 to 10 hours per week. Most people who self study spend close to 15 hours per week trying to figure out how it all works.

Hi Miguel, I'm actually recording a video about the CMA vs the CPA. It'll be up soon. But to answer your question, there's overlap in terms of content coverage. Both are tough exams, but since you already passed the CPA, you can take that momentum and tackle the CMA. That alone will make the study process easier.

I do have one issue whenever i start learning i loose my focus easily ! Which means for 3-4days i ll put alot of focus n energy but after 4days i started to loose my focus again ! I enjoy the content alot but i m not able to maintain the consistency ! Please kindly suggest me some tips !

Harshita, that sounds like burnout to me. After 4 days straight, take a day off. Rinse and repeat. Trying to push through burnout is hard and most of the time ends in frustration.

Hi Renu, candidates can only attempt one exam part per window. If you don't pass, you'll have to wait until the next exam window to retake the exam.

Writing can absolutely be an effective study technique. It depends on each individual and their preferred style of learning. SQ3R has been proven to help learners retain over 80%. If writing does the the same for you then that's great :)

yes, I'm 32 years post grad. I have to retake test. Looking any way to remember more. Since my field doesn't use everything covered in test.
