One of the easiest drinks to do is lemonade. There are only two ingredients, juice of fresh lemon and sugar (some people prefer honey).
A close relative of lemonade is a cucumber of lemonade, which is also made of a few ingredients: lemon juice, fresh cucumbers and sugar.
These drinks are great in the summer, and they are light beverages to prepare and full of vitamins.
Lemonade (of lemons):
juice of 3 lemons
6 tablespoons of home-made syrup (or 3 tablespoons of honey)
2 liters of sparkling water (of course you can use non-sparkling water)
For home-made syrup, put sugar and cold water into a pot in a 2: 1 ratio (500 g of sugar per 250 ml of water). Bring to boil (no need to mix). Let it cook for 2 to 3 minutes. Then remove the pot from the plate, and add the lemon juice. Let it cool down, pour into a glass and this syrup can take several weeks. I still have this syrup in the kitchen, ready to make lemonade for fast.
In a large jug, add the lemons that have been poured out and pour cold water on them. Allow at least one hour to leach the oil and lemon peel flavor to dissolve into the water. Then remove the lemons and add lemon juice, sparkling water and syrup.
Put the ice cubes in the glass and pour the lemonade into the glass. You can add some slices of lemon and lemon balm. Do not forget to add a straw.
Cucumber lemonade:
juice from one lemon
2 large English cucumbers, peeled
4 tablespoons of home-made syrup (or 2 tablespoons of honey)
2 liters of sparkling water
In the blender, add half a glass of water and run the blender. Then add 2 cm slices of peeled cucumber.
In a mug, mix lemon juice, cucumber mix, and sparkling water.
Pour into a glass of ice cubes.
Serve with a slice of cucumber and straw.
