If your T-piece is screwed into the Nikon M42 adapter, you don't need the T-adapter - you can screw the Nikon adapter directly onto the eyepiece adapter because it's M42 thread (for this purpose).
@GalaxyArtMedia3 жыл бұрын
@@Mrcloc What eyepiece adapter are you referring?
@Mrcloc3 жыл бұрын
@@GalaxyArtMedia Where you insert the diagonal. It has T-thread on this telescope - a nice touch by Svbony.
@GalaxyArtMedia3 жыл бұрын
@@Mrcloc I checked now, indeed it has a thread so is possible to attach it also this way, but it takes longer to attach the camera or to take it out, it seems you can still rotate the camera if you need to in the left direction, but it might have some play, since is doing it by unscrewing the focuser adapter, and if you want to rotate it more in the right you need to make a full rotation of the camera in the left. so i still do preffer the standard way of inserting the camera in the telescope using an adapter.

Just got a chance to look through one (day time, night time is coming), and I am super impressed. Colour correction is far better than I expected. I noticed slight red-green fringing. I looked at moon, saturn, jupiter. This telescope needs a 2x Barlow. I also put in my wide angle 15mm, and that was magic in here.

This is a MODEL review, how a review SHOULD be done: to-the-point immediately, clearly presented points complemented by relevant visuals and a friendly, conversational style. I already have many telescopes including several ED refractors but your presentation made this SvBony SO appealing that I just ordered one because it sounds like fun. And super lightweight, easy to cart around, set up and use. One question: HOW do you insert a 5mm eyepiece into the optical train for your eyepiece projection lunar photography? I have a Canon DSLR and the necessary T-ring, etc but don’t understand HOW and WHERE an eyepiece fits in the optical train. Thanks. And very nice work. Doug
@GalaxyArtMedia2 жыл бұрын
Thank you very much! The easiest method is to use a diagonal mirror, you place the diagonal mirror in the telescope draw tube, then the eyepiece then attach the camera. But not all eyepiece work with a dslr. With this scope you probably use this method with a phone and attach the DSL directly to the focuser tube or using an 1.25 inch nosepiece. For planetary imaging you will get better results with a planetary camera. If you want one very budget friendly check the review that i made with the svbony sv105 planetary camera i have there results also with the svbony telescope.

Great in depth video buddy. These short refractors as you say are amazing for the money, even though the mount looks like it could do with a upgrade at some point they still look pretty usable and quite stable considering the price range...I've seen and used a lot worse...I've got a small refractor very similar to this and put it on a EQ mount, and use it for star clusters, with there wide F.O.V they are perfect.

Very nice little telescope and views were so nice so it's good to know you can attach dslr and smartphone and get nice astrophotos. The price is nice too. Tripod looks ok but using better tripod makes it worth it. Would this scope he suitable to use on star tracker like star adventurer from skywatcher? It be great for it's so lightweight for travel etc. Looking forward to seeing deep sky images from this scope even through a smartphone. Stay safe buddy!

It really is! Thank you Buddy! with the discount code that i placed in description is around 75 $. Off course you can use with a star tracker it weights around 700 grams, under one kg, but for deep space astrophotography as you observe in the video does have chromatic aberration, but for stargazing and lunar or solar did performed good. to be able to see the planets better you need a high magnification eyepiece like 5mm or even more powerfull eyepiece

Super thorough review loan, great stuff! : ) Looks to be the same scope as the Celestron travel scope 70. Were the stars triangular in the middle of the field of view? If not it might be coma? I've used scopes with pinched optics in the past, and it caused astigmatism where the stars were oval before focus, cross shaped in focus, and oval at 90 degrees to before past focus. Did you find this? It looked cool piggy backed regardless :)
@GalaxyArtMedia3 жыл бұрын
Thank you very much! IOn my first test on Capella you can see that the star look pinched, and not perfectly round,( and was in center of the image) however after i used the bahtinov mask i tight the focuser more, and i think it sag, (went lower a little) and because of that i got more visible flares on the M44 image. So I need an extension tube not to draw the tube to far out and not to tight to much or fine tune the telescope, but even so i had a great time with it, so lightweight and fun to use, and the results on the moon and on the terrestrial videos really impressed me

@GalaxyArtMedia2 жыл бұрын
You mean when you tilt with the tripod? When used with heavier cameras or accessories the tripod must be locked after to hold the weight, make sure you placed the telescope on the tripod with that small mounting plate in the good direction, is easy to place it wrong. For more ease of use i recommend a small table top dobsonian mount for this telescope

Thanks very much for your helpful videos! one question: as an alternative to expensive super tele full frame optics, would a telescope be a viable alternative for terrestial photography? I would also use it for occasional astrophotography. My budget is around 500 euros, and I would mount the telescope in front of a Sony a7RII 42 megapixel full frame camera. I would need around 800/1000 mm full frame equivalent focal length. What would you recommend? thanks very much in advance.
@GalaxyArtMedia Жыл бұрын
Hello. The best telescopes up to 500 $ for lunar planetary and terrestrial views up to 500$ in my opinion are the maksutov telescopes my skymax 127/ 1500 mm gave me great results and is under 500$. To use it for lunar planetary is recommended also a mount atleast the star adventurer. I think this setup will give you the best results for the money. I understand you want to use a full frame camera that will give you some vignetting with the maksutov telescopes but you can use it with crop factor as a crop dslr camera without vignetting. If you want to use the full frame fov without vignetting then look for a reffractor telescope but will be longer and heavier, also more expensive per aperture. I can use the skymax 127 with different focal lengts by using a reducer with a astronomy camera can give me 750 mm with my dslr camera from 1000mm because of the lack of backfocus dslr cameras have compared with astrophography cameras. I have many videos on my channel with the skymax 127 if you want to see my results. I recommend a maksutov also because it does not have cromatic aberrations. If you go with a reffractor acromat you will have more fringing. So is better to buy a doublet reffractor telescope if you decide to go on refractor and do not want visible fringing but it wil be heavier. The svbony telescope is light weight but the focuser is not so great especially with heavier cameras. If you want very light telescope for mobility there is also the sarblue 60 is less heavy then a lens and has 750 mm around 150$ You can check my review with sarblue 60 maksutov on my channel. If you need mobility and use it as a lens without tripod then sarblue 6o is a nice option with the vignetting minus. The other option for mobility is a light weight refractor acromat that has fringing but the ones they usualy are very light weight have plastic focusers and draw tube and not good quality to use it often with a photography camera

@@GalaxyArtMedia thanks so much for the prompt reply. I will have a look at all of your videos about the skymax 127/1500. I'm only a bit worried about not being able to manage the 1500 focal length, which would become 2250mm using the Sony crop mode. That could be too much reach 😁. I will also investigate more about reducers I was not aware of. I was initially thinking of getting a Nikkor 1000mm f11 reflex super tele, but did not find any detailed reviews about its optical qualities. Thanks very much again.

@@pasqualeguglielmi4253 Welcome. about the focal length, the large sensor camera will not change the focal 1500 mm will still be 1500 mm, it will change only the field of view, and it will look like having 1000 mm lens with a crop 1.5x sensor camera like my nikon d7200. @@asadytac 3x barlow will work also. You need to learn to calculate magnification of telescope 400:20 =20x magnification x3 will be 60 magnification you can go up to 120x magnification with your 60 scop.and have good details so to see even closer you can use 10mm eyepiece and 3x barlow.
