Hey guys ! this is technically a 2 person tent but like every other 2 person tent it is more suitable to only 1 ! Otherwise you don't have any room inside to put your clothes, electronic gadgets ,etc ...

It's actually a really useful video as many riding jackets and pants need to be resealed every so often as well. The same process and rule of thumb applies to your tent. Great job, Eddie.

THat sounds like an awesome idea ! The ability to sleep off the ground is much better. That's why I love my pop up camper but this time around I will be facing some steep mountain passes (to Vancouver) and my bike doesn't have enough torque to handle it.

I am glad I decided to waterproof it because I got heavy rain on my third night. As I was expecting …., I didn’t get wet and the tent didn’t leak ! Yay !

Very nice little tent, along with some cool tis from you, Eddie. Unfortunately, in Aus, the tent has too many gaps at the base. Here, the majority of crawling, and slithering creatures can kill you, if not make you awfully sick. The tents needs to be able to keep these on the outside. I like the silicon seal spray, I've used that in the past and it works a treat provided you keep it up each season. Good one, mate. Ciao.

Greetings and salutations my Aussie friend ! Oh man, you’re totally right. (Mainly the idea of sleeping with only the rainfly ! Generally speaking here in Canada is much safer (no nasty small poisonous creatures) but …. We have bears ! 😂 ! If the bear wants you for dinner there’s no tent that can save your arse. 😆

I have a similiar tent but it did not come with a footprint. I did cut out a tarp the same size a the floor and use that instead. Enjoy your capout this weekend, I think I will head to Radium for a day ride.

This is awesome! We have a couple ebikes and have actually been thinking about looking into some lightweight tents. Our bikes have a decent range with a couple bateries, and where we are there's a decent trail that we can take out over night. These look like we can throw them in our cargo without adding any weight really. Thanks!

Yeah indeed ! This tent is pretty compact and has served me well for several years. I am glad that I waterproofed it before my camping trip because I got a nasty rain on the 3rd night.

That’s a game changer Jody. Few years ago I arrived at a campground and started raining as I was starting to unpack. Having the ability to put the rainfly first allowed me to put whole shebang under it and then I started to set it up the inner part and moved the gear to it.

I am heading to Vancouver tomorrow (long weekend here) and I have to cross two steep mountain passes and sadly my triumph doesn’t have enough torque to handle the Lees-Ure Lite up hill. (Sometimes I wish I had bought the Mini Mate)

Didn't realize there are different waterproofing sprays for different fabrics, so thank yo for that. We just bought a new tent for our trip...I'm not exactly sure what style it is...DOC650 Adventures used it recently and said he liked it even in the rain. We were looking at Big Agnes but they are BIG A$$ bucks, lol. Great video, Eddie!

How often do you spray the silicone? Great little video of your tent setup. It's nice to have that open concept on hotter days.

It really depends how many rainy we days go through, as the rain (and morning dew) slowly washes away the factory weatherproofing. I just did it for the first time in 4 years (and probably faced 4-5 days of rain). Having said that, considering the cost of the silicone spray it would be smart to do it every 2 or 3 years. (I sprayed the hell of it and still approx 1/2 can left)

That’s a good question Tommy ! No, you don’t need to waterproof new tents as they come (or should come) coated from the factory. (I guess you will find out on the first rainy night 😂) Having said that a can of silicone spray cost about 20 bucks so it doesn’t hurt to spray it before you leave.
