BEST Things to do in Villajoyosa, Alicante | La Vila Joiosa | La Vila, Spain

Villajoyosa is a lovely seaside town in the province of Alicante and is part of the Costa Blanca. The town is known to the locals simply as La Vila and Villajoyosa literally translates to “Joyful Town” so this will give you an idea of the friendliness of the locals that live here and the atmosphere in the town. So in this video I will be showing you the best things to do in Villajoyosa, including, getting lost in the colourful streets of La Vila Joiosa, visiting the Valor chocolate factory, VilaMuseu, checking out the Villajoyosa beach and much more.
Villajoyosa is a great place to visit if you’re looking for a day trip from Benidorm or Alicante as it’s not too far away and is very different from both of these towns. You could easily spend the day walking around La Vila exploring, or if you’re just looking to chill out, Villajoyosa’s beach is one of the most beautiful I have seen in Spain and is lovely to spend the day on. I’d say this is a perfect spot for families, friends or couples to visit and there is a variety of activities for you to choose from. And who doesn’t love chocolate?! Villajoyosa is Spains capital of chocolate so visiting a chocolate factory is a must…even if it’s just for the free samples at the end ;)

Thanks for that Millie. It brings back great memories of when my wife and I went there from Benidorm. We took the tram which was great in itself, and very cheap. The beach is superb and the coloured houses stunning. We also took the Valor tour, and it was in English then. It was funny to see you looking down to the empty factory floor with no-one working. When we went it was buzzing but then, as we watched, a machine jammed and there were bars of chocolate flying everywhere !! Brilliant memories. Thanks Again.

Last year I was in Benidorm for holiday and thanks for tramtrain I visited Villajoyosa which for me looks like a hidden perle in Costa Blanca.

Fabulous Vlog babe. It’s so pretty it reminds me of St.Ives a lot. With all the fishermans cottages and tiny streets. Will give the choc factory a miss if we go. Just buy some from Mercadona instead. Was it nice chocolate I haven’t ever tried Valor. 🖤

We're such suckers for colourful places, really loved how pretty all the buildings were. I think a day of exploring the streets and chatting with locals sounds amazing, just loved the spot you showed with the abundance of plants in the alley way. Just gorgeous 🧡 Oh and nice intro 💞

How easy would it be to get a taxi from Vilajoiosa back to Benidorm? We are staying a few miles above Benidorm in a holiday park but need some real life!
