Tullie house is a great museum to visit in Carlisle, I definitely recommend

I live in the Scottish Borders, approximately an hour and a half drive to Edinburgh and Carlisle, but it is Carlisle I usually visit; it is a lovely city with easy access and the best fish and chips (The Fryery) and handmade chocolate shop (opposite TK max back entrance). Also, it dresses up wonderfully for Christmas. A great city.
