I had high hopes for this dock and it came up short! When connected to my work PC (Lenovo T490S), only one of my two 4K monitors will run at a time. But when I connect that computer to the Lenovo universal Thunderbolt 4 dock, it runs them both at 4K/30. When I connect the TS4 to my work Mac, it runs one monitor at 4K/60 and one at 4K/30. Even though the Mac is capable of pushing two 6K monitors at 60 hz. Very disappointing to see that this dock doesn’t live up to the hype.

I got one from the August drop as well. I'm amazed how much I can do with a single Thunderbolt 4 port on my M1 MBA with this dock.

I understand that if you have speakers/microphone running out of the the back ports, and then plug in a headset in the front, the headset takes over all sound input/output.

Coming across this vid 1 year late, but hopefully this comment reaches you 🙌 I'm curious to hear how the KVM switch would work with this setup, since that's the exact use case that I have. All the streaming accessories you have, that I'd love to use on both windows desktop and macbook.

Completely worth it if you make money off of your machine for art or business usage. It will pay for itself. NOT worth it for personal use for most people. It’s all about perspective. Apple products already are not marketed towards most “casual” users.

@@speedygeek Very true, especially with the devices which have less ports. Probably not necessary for a Mac Studio or maybe even a mini. But for portables it make a lot of sense especially for an Air to maximize ports. Let us know how you enjoy it long term, and whether or not it has any issues you notice. It looks like a good solution for a production machine.
