Thank you for all your tips and tricks. I did a hang and hunt on state land in NY last year. I was sitting on the corner of a blow down site only 8ft high with 20mph wind right in my face. It was 25*f and text book buck following a doe came walking right up to the bottom of my stand. A nice 8pt and also my first state land deer.

I've seen some intense rut activities here in the Ohio Valley on December 10th I always do a birthday hunt every year.

Hey Jeff long time man. Running through your channel again to brush up on the skills. I joined a 900 acre hunt club in Kentucky with a really nice age class to hunt. Unfortunately iv joined a bit late to to set up some sets at this point would be more intrusive. I may take the first week of September to hang a set or 2 in the 100 degree weather they have and let them sit till that first front. Anyway point of the message is I’ll be digging into your food plot series more then ever and may be using your seed blends next summer! Hope all is well. Good luck this deer season!

@whitetailhabitatsolutions9751 this is our first year using a couple of your blends and fencing on one of our properties. We've been watching and learning and plan I guess soon to plant a cover crop like you were speaking other day for later season. We are in western ky. Your doing awesome!!!!!

I have a known buck bedding area the is part of a funnel system...Going to want and get there at least an hour before light...I can get to it from and access rd fifty yards away...Only reason why I hunt it is cause I can get in and out without spooking deer...

The hardest thing to do is not go hunting. I will be trying to stay out of what I believe to be my good stands till the end of October here in PA. It's really hard when you have multiple bucks that would be the biggest you have ever even seen while hunting on your trail cams haha. Hopefully I can exercise patience and restraint this season and not over hunt.

Jeff can I put celthodim on a three week old brassica plot and not hurt the brassica This drought is tough grass grows fast in it!!!!! If so can I still put rey down in a couple weeks

how close to a bedding area can you hunt and not considering it hunting a bedding area? if that makes sense. 50, 100, 200 yards?

@@whitetailhabitatsolutions9751 do you find bucks bed lower in the morning and then higher as thermals start to rise? it seems like i see more bucks up on my ridge stands after 0900. wondering why they dont seem to be there 0600 thru 0900

Do you ever include acorns as a primary food source?(public land) also the public land has food plots planted every year but I know the hunting concentration will be around those areas. Will the deer be pushed farther away with their bedding?

Hi Bennet, acorns can be a somewhat primary food source of the moment...but never a season long and consistent primary food source. I would never hunt a food plot on public land because of too much hunting pressure, but I would hunt 3/4 to a mile away from it in the morning 😊 Browse is always the primary, season long food source on public land...

Would sticking a doe or 2 on MN opener be early enough to create room for core buck(s) to move in yet this fall? Or better off waiting until after the rut at this point.

Don’t take a doe before the rut. You’re just taking away the best bait possible in the rut. Go where the does are and wait for those bucks to be chasing them.
