@@invisiblevoice7820according to me its better not to, 1st and 2nd sem subjects are generalized ones, but if you are confident enough that your knowledges are all clear about the general subjects you can search for the subjects of 3rd sem, continue with that and later on start a full fledged preparation. But full dedication would be required

Because for example in survey we study very old methods but now using technology they use total stations and other instruments

For placements u have to be a proper coder and only learning few skills won't work. You will also have to study Some standard books of CSE because during Placement companies conduct Coding round where u give test and u won't get in unless u crack interview and during interview Only core CSE questions will be asked, which u can answer only after reading CSE books

You won't get any PSU's under 60% but you can opt for mtech
