Interesting idea, Cat. I like that forces the reader to pay attention, to be more actively engaged, and they get to see their progress, which is very motivational. I like your tip about separating reading time from study and devotional time- that makes so much sense. For example, about two weeks ago I read the entire Gospel of Matthew ion a weekend. I just wanted to read a large portion of the Bible without stopping to look anything up. I just read it straight through. Really loved it. God bless you and your channel!

It's a proven fact that colors help people of all ages learn. I totally agree, being ineractive with your bible helps keep me motivated to read my bible and spend time with God. 👍💝 If all you have is a fancy expensive bible that sits on a shelf collecting dust because you're unmotivated and to afraid to "mess it up" , the only thing that bible is serving is your pride. I'm not saying it's bad to have nice bibles, but if you're not reading it, what did God bless you with it for? Gods word was not meant to sit on a shelf. Do what you need to do, to be engaged in His word. I can quarentee you, you will appriciate that bible 100% more once you do. 👍💝

I love this idea! I have 2 grandkids with developmental disabilities and reading is a chore. This starts tonight! I just bought 1 of them his next step up in a bible. He's 9. And friends... highlight that Bible. A preacher once said, "If you can't highlight and take notes, what good is it." I have to look at my bible as something I can learn from. Highlighters and notes and all. It's the word breathed that's holy. Not the paper it's on. When I changed my focus, I learned so much more. People like Cat helped me with that, so thank you!

Thank you so so much for this tip!! I am a baby Christian and have found it so difficult to stay focused, even when I find what I am reading interesting, my mind wanders. But, this makes so much sense! I’m going to try it tomorrow morning! Btw, I am a new subscriber and have really been enjoying your Bible garden videos, and am looking forward to watching more of your videos!
