The Strength Co is my favorite, but I do like how the Reps one kept the 4 spoke design all the way through the smaller plates. I have owned all three of these mentioned- rogue, strengthco, and the original equalizers in both steel and urethane all solid plates. It just comes down to your straining training style and personal preference really

I have probably 650lbs and while I don't use them all I keep one 45lb on burlap sled for pulls (kneesovertoes guy it works) and plan to keep plates on titan Squat Max MD and some 45s on Rep Open Trap Bar. That way can do circuits much faster far less to load. Curious if you find them easy to pick up with 1 hand with their bigger lips? I have Rogue USA Olympic which are 0.35" smaller but they have thinnest most worthless lip you could imagine my grip can hold them for a few seconds so have to use two hands to move them.

Rep’s new equalizer plates look very nice and very well made. I’ve just not been a fan of the equalizer design, despite how functional they are. It’s nice to see your review of them though. Really solid question. I didn't have the others to compare. I thought they were snug enough that there wasn't tons of "slob" when not using clips. I thought the Rogue USA plates were a "TAD" tighter and I've not had the Strength co to test out.

I used to be the one of those that would say "weight is weight"; until I got my Rogue Deep Dish plates. I had been using my basic Standard weight plates from the 90s and they got the job done, but I just feel more connected to the bar and movements with my deep dishes. Maybe it's just in my head? I dunno. The old Standard plates are used on my leg machines- that's where "weight is weight". While the new Rep plates are sexy, I still prefer my deep dishes. They still trigger my nostalgia from reading the old bodybuilding magazines as a kid and working out in the dungeon gyms. Plus, factoring Ma. taxes and shipping, the deep dishes are .16 per pound less. For alot off people, the deep dishes aren't their cup of tea for many reasons, which that .16 difference could be easily overlooked. Thanks for reviewing these, and actually using them instead of spending 15 minutes just saying how "ssssiiiick" they look on your rack.

They do look cool and Weight it Out plates can be made to just have their cool logo on it so you get handles, cool logo and thinnest 45s out there. I have Rogue USA Olympic plates which I think are second thinnest 0.9" for 45s and love the looks and how thin they are but hate the thin lip. If they had grips like Weight it out would be best plates in my opinion. I went with thin as I thought I'd get one Athena and would use Gym Pin and with 2:1 pulley might need to put 180+lbs on it to make 110lb stack heavy enough to do light lat pulldowns. I ended up getting dual athenas so have 220lbs now to combine with GymPin so in hindsight wish I got your recommendation or Weight it Outs.

@@NoFate247 I'm not sure if the price differential is justified or hyper-inflated by the "made in USA" marketing machine. I own a pair of the Rogue USA Olympic 45's and will be buying more of their irons.
