Here we eat the best vegan food in Lima, Peru in 2023! In this vegan food tour of Lima, we eat authentic Peruvian food including ceviche, tacu tacu, lomo saltado, estofado, chaufa, and more! So come along as we explore neighborhoods like Miraflores, Barranco, & Centro Historico to eat some delicious vegan Peruvian dishes. It is the only country in the world with at least 8 types of cuisine: Creole, Marine, Andean, Amazonian, Nikkei, Chifa, Vegetarian and Haute cuisine. Furthermore, Peru has 491 typical dishes, thus becoming the country with the largest number of typical dishes in the world. @@WanderlustWellman Like a lot of dishes, Tacu Tacu had a humble origin, that started with the leftovers of white rice and beans that evolved into a unique Peruvian refried beans dish made with aji pepper and onions. It's my favorite. 😊

That makes a lot of sense - and even though it sounds so simple the flavors are so good, it's definitely one of my favorites (I also am obsessed with causa)!

@@WanderlustWellman Yes. Causa is awesome dish as well. Causa means cause in English and was created in the early 1800s by women that would sell it to support the independence of Peru. If you go to Arequipa, Perú you must go to Lounge del Brujo, the best vegan restaurant in Perú.

Lima is a beautiful city.The food looks very delicious.But your tour in TULUM/MEXICO was better.But I like Peru.It`s a beautiful country ❤
