It’s one of our favorite places to visit in Florida, and we’ve had many great adventures there, like snorkeling and going on a catamaran cruise to watch the famous Key West sunset! In this episode, we're excited to share with you something we’ve never done before - climb to the top of the Key West Lighthouse - and the view doesn’t disappoint!
And if you dare to climb more stairs, there’s another awesome view of Key West at the Shipwreck Treasure Museum on the other side of the island. It might even have a better bird's eye view of the beautiful water, plus Sunset Key and Mallory Square!
But you decide, which view of Key West is the best?

It's hard to beat a lighthouse when you're that high up. It's cool to walk around the edge but a little scary! 😮

Thank you! 😅 If you love lighthouses, have you tried the Ponce Inlet or St. Augustine lighthouses? Those are pretty tall. 😆

Nice views! It’s been a spell since I’ve been down to the Keys. I’m due for another trip. Yeah, I went up on the Ponce Inlet Lighthouse in December. It was cool. It was a 175ft tall making it the 2nd tallest brick lighthouse in the nation. Back in 2016, I was up on the Cape Florida Lighthouse on Key Biscayne. That was 95ft tall, but a nice view. Here’s to Happy Adventures in 2024!

Omg sarah, im just like you when it comes to heights/ lighthouses. Last time i went to ponce lighthouse i was glued to the wall. I couldnt go to the railing. My gf at the time was very impressed with me. Lol. Love your vids.

Haha! Wow. Yeah seriously, the Ponce Inlet lighthouse is twice as high as the Key West lighthouse but somehow this one was actually scarier! 😮 It's worth conquering the fear though to get those beautiful views. Thanks for the love Jim! 😊

Key west looks amazing! Those are some tight stairs. I don't like it when you can see through the stairs to the bottom. Nicolai has big-time vertigo. Beautiful view! Thanks for the tour! 🙂

I don't know why this video didn't show up for me but I have found it now and love it! (: (: (: I like how calm Paul stays while Sarah deals with that staircase! I wonder if there are any accidents on all those winding steps? Surprised by all the trees on view from the top looking down! If you guys saw the movie Nyad it ends at Key West!

One of us has to stay calm. 😂There's definitely a lot of nice foliage in Key West with lots of flowers along all the streets and a lot of trees. No we haven't seen that movie but looking it up now! It sounds like a crazy challenge - swimming from Cuba to Key West. Wow! 😮 We hope you're doing well!

Exactly! It felt so open at the top! And then that wind was so strong! 😅 Well, we are glad to have climbed to the top, but we may not do any more lighthouses for a while. We'll stick to other adventures... 😂
