Vladimir is one the champions I've played the most and I like this new change to him. He makes a bit more sense now - there is more decision making needed when playing in stead of getting close enough to pull a 4 stacked E+Q off and hit for ridicoulus damage while getting alot of health back - he could do that every 4 seconds pretty much - making him an unstoppable sustain monster and a huge lane bully when getting spellwamp and hit lvl 7-9. Now you have to think more about what you're doing - you got alot more play making potential with his ult also healing now - it heals alot lategame! Your third Q also gives you a very good heal + a short burst of ms which I like alot. You have to charge up damage on your E - similar to Varus Q. There is more decision making around Vladimir and I think it's great. (y)

I´ve played vladimir a lot but his changed E and the removed spellvamp makes me cry. So, before his rework, the E+spellvamp was the greatest heal instead of Q for me. After his rework I can´t handle his new E because its a AOE-skillshot and it can be blocked by obstacles. But, the one thing I miss so much is the spellvamp from Will of the ancients. Well then, I want to ask you, it´s worth to buy the spellvamp runes for vladimir ? [Or extremly, it´s worth to build Hextech gunblade on vladimir ?] (WotA had 15% spellvamp, with runes and masteries it´s possible to get 10%, with spirit visage a little bit more.) (Hextech gunblade has 15% spellvamp(15% of the damage dealt gained as health) like Wota but useless ad-stats.)

I don't think it is worth no. It is nearly only the third Q he gets the healing from, so spell wamp wouldn't be that great on him anymore though. They also nerfed his HP for AP-scaling while buffing his AP for HP scaling - which means he scales better with HP now. He gets enough healing from spirit visage + third Q based on missing health + ult (ALOT of healing)

The recommended items is not bad - core is relais + spirit visage. He still needs AP - it is just that he doesn't scale as well from AP giving him HP. His E also now scales with 10% of his max health - which also will be the cost of casting the spell. :)

Josiah D. Grønhøj So, relais + spirit-visage + warmogs + proto-belt and Liandry's Torment for example ? It seems to me vladimir scales very well with items which give him both, health and ap. I hope, my questions are not obtrusively, but his rework are confusing for me, so I need every knowledge which I can get, to improve my play with vladimir.

The way he kept letting his empowered Q go on cooldown after NOT using it forced me to not watch this.

+primalDust Reasoning behind it is if he uses it on a minion, it puts the Q on cooldown and allows Jax to force a trade, where vlad would pool or take hella damage. Letting the empower go on cooldown still allows him to use his Q if Jax tries to trade.

Damn... Try to think a minute about what you're saying... Keeping his empowered q go off cooldown allowed him to zone jax... Furthermore, the healing halved against minions ans is based on percentage missing health, so he'll use it only if he has taken a bad trade... Using the empowered q would also put it on cooldown and will allow jax to put more pressure on his opponent

I'm trying to find a good guide to win games as Vlad but all I keep seeing is games where the jungler ganks and wins them the lane. This shit is impossible in bronze and silver.

It is posssible when you stick out his weak early. Vladimir is a late-game-carry, who needs a lots of farm. If Vladimir can reach the lategame, he is a 4k health/800AP mage with both sustain and damage. Build: Protobelt, Spirit Visage, Rylais as core items, furthermore Zhonyas against heavy-AD-champions/Abyssal against heavy-AP-champions, and finally Liandry's against tanks or Void Staff against overwhelming MR or Rabadon´s when ahead. (and boots of course xD ) This is my build that I prefer since his update/rework. (Since his small rework he became a burst mage who can bully a bit his enemie, but he lost his consistent damage from his E.)

I main him and I usually go 0/18/12 with thunderlord's, but before that I used to go 0/12/18 with SoA, I guess it's a matter of preference

If he wouldve used the powered Q on minions he couldve lost lane on that. 1 That makes it an easy trade for jax to take since q will be on cd. 2 it wouldve pushed the wave so jaxes jungler most likely wouldve came to gank. And 3 it heals on missing hp so theres no point of using it if almost full hp.

Boosted jax lmao. He always fails his Q+W+E combo... What he needed to do is force Vlad into W by simply AA+W and AFTER that press E to guarantee trades with a second W and at least a second AA :). I am gold and easily figured this out just by watching. There is no way Vlad would AA with him lmao. How can Korean Challenger be this bad? Even if he is boosted I as gold elo player would make better trades...

+LucaTurilli89 Any decent vlad player knows not to ever use w for trades. If jax tries to aa him vlad will simply kite back and win trades every time since he has such good sustain. The match up is very favorable for the vlad

So true, the best combo with jax vs Vlad is Q+AA+W and stay close to vlad : If Vlad uses W, use your E If not, continue to AA+W, and use your Q on a minion to back if you can't kill Vlad. I main Vlad but it's unfortunately easy to counter Vlad when you know how to do it

***** I too main him. Got about 500 games lol. The new Vlad sucks imo, but the way I used to play against Jax is rather than playing passive and him trying to bait my w, I play aggressive and try to bait his e so I then w all over him. I always start amp tome and have full ap/magic pen runes, so unless the Jax is full dmg as well or lucks out in a trade, I come out on top in everytime.

Ahmed Baban you are wrong dude. This is high elo and if he can't win trades and already behind WTF is he CONTINUING to combo him?! What he needs to do is roam/farm till lategame. Also why is his combo "right" explain pls.
