we (my partner and I) were shockingly in love with the Armenian, her performance and also the song, which was wonderfully traditional, totally blew us away from start to finish ...so the whole performance is the moment. Excitingly, almost exactly the same applies to the Irish witch ...wow. wow. wow. Very impressive and she can sing ...amazing.

My favourite parts of Eurovision this year was the additional content. Finland’s UMK did not disappoint and managed to put many a smile on my face in a drama filled season. They shared videos showing an egg hunt competition , Kaarija collab, an Enya spa song, Freestyler cover song, and much, much more. Call them what you may, see if I care, Windows95 man slayed!

While Norway was not my cup of tea I do not think it should have come last as I can appreciate the vocal and musicality side of the song. I know there were some singers who were not as strong and appeared more reliant on backing vocals and in some instances the 'dance breaks' IMO.

To me it is important if somebody' s performance touches me. I am not a vocal expert but this year Italy and Switzerland touched me. ❤ I expected that Nemo should turn around (on the turning platform on the stage) after his victory but he walked on the stage. But he sang his winning song very well. When singers are happy because they won ESC and are still able to sing that good they are brilliant. By the way I love your crystal shop and the wool I sometimes see in your videos!

I agree with Norway, it's a good, different, in their own language song with very good voice. They didn't deserve the last place. But, who deserved this year the last place? For me , all the songs were good.

Isaac was 100% my personal favorite vocals this year, it was just incredible!

I actually watched some behind the scenes stuff for swiss entry. It was soo cool seeing all that and how nemo managed to stay on point thru it all.

When vocals are mentioned, we also need to talk about Azerbaijan. It is not often we get to hear that distinct vocal technique, and I found it very much enjoyable, in a laid-back "Luktelk"-ish kind of way. I guess it just didn't resonate that well with the general audience.

My favorite moments: Vocals (in an entire performace): Ireland (so many different parts sung equally well in their own way and she even flipped some of the vocals at times to be more dynamic then in the studio version. Helps me appreciate the screaming section with how my favorite genre of music that I listen to all the time often sounds.) Vocal moment: Switzerland (the Opera only section) Staging: Ukraine (best use of the stage combined with a good staging ignoring that) Overall Package: Ukraine (This was my 2nd favorite song before the live shows as well) Favorite song elevated live: Switzerland (I wasn't sure if this could work live but it really did in the end) Best performer non-live (in fan media interviews and back stage moments): The female singer from Ladaniva (I love her energy)

I’m so glad you picked up about the backing vocals. I thought they were way too strong at times and carrying the lead singers. I didn’t realise that some may have gone further and actually been the lead vocal.. surely the way to prevent this is to have all vocals ( backing and lead) live. I Really don’t know why they allowed recorded backing tracks. it’s so wrong. Maybe we should write to the EBU and demand change!!

For me the best vocals Slimane, also in final, by far in this contest. And Belgium the next one.

Slovenian singer Raiven is amazing! She has a masters degree from opera singing. She is also highly skilled harp player. Those dancers are from Opera ballet. Really great song, too. I'm so sad it didn't get more votes.

I totally agree with all your suggestions! From the first day of listening to the three songs until today, they are number 1 for me. Serbia, Portugal and Norway! If someone asked me to choose a part of the song where I was blown away by the singer's vocals, it would take me a long time to single out those parts and again I would not be satisfied because it is difficult to single out epic moments. Simply, from the first to the last second, everything is a pure masterpiece, whether it's about the emotion that the performer conveys to me or about the energy and power of the vocals in certain parts of the song. I voted for each of these songs, but in the end not one of them received a single point from this country in the televoting. Shame! I am glad that Portugal finished in the top 10, but the low position of Serbia and the bottom for Norway are for me a big disappointment of this ESC. Georgina, thank you!

Oh yeah, Norway & Latvia appreciation! When Latvia's song was published, almost everyone was like "this is so boring and generic, it is sure to place dead last in its semi". But - shock and horror - when the singer is actually GOOD, it makes a big difference.

I agree with you about Norway, Switzerland and Ukraine! Why on Earth were Norway bottom?, we were all in shock here! It must be, as you said, that people just didn’t get it! My son wanted Croatia to win, we both thought it was brilliant but my number 1 just ahead of Croatia, was Slimane/France for all the reasons you mentioned… he didn’t need gimmicks or amazing staging, just a fab song and that voice ❤️

I blame the sound guy for Norway - why’d he put her vocals so low against the backing track? I think that hurt them severely. 😞

Nemo stated in an interview once that they don’t mind having their name pronounced as either ‘NEE-moh’, or ‘NAY-moh’, with the second being how it would be pronounced in German.

Not mention of Serbia? You said amazing things of her? But you probably forget.

I pretty much agree with your top, if it was only about music this would probably be the top 10. I just might add Greece and Armenia too. But we all know that some fans are simply trying to make a joke out of the contest and in the last years I got an overdose of joke or TikTok entries being overhyped.

I remarked more moments and performances that came in my mind. For example Isaak from Germany. I was also Dons from Latvia he remind me a little bit of Nickelback. As women Marina Satti, even in the contest wasn't the greatest, she was sick. Also Teya Dora impress me thru delicacy. I would mention also Natalia Barbu from Moldova and Besa from Albania. Also Ilkin Dovlatov from Azerbaijan. I will remember him. That windows man even the whole think was a kitsch the singer has good voice, as voice. I forgot Loreen from the interval act. Wow she was out of this world.

Regarding the pronunciation of Nemo: I'm not on a position to say the last word, only s/he can tell. It might actually be his given name at birth, and as it is not for another name (Timo < Timotheus), it ulimately derives from Latin nemo which means nobody. At the same time he probably thought that the clownfisch Nemo was fitting as the clownfisch can change his/her gender, and probably that's were clownfish/ess got his/her name from as he/she is "none (of both)". Striclty speaking this would be neuter (ne-uter/utra: none of both). Now, in Latin classes you would pronounce nemo with a long e like i mermaid, not neemo. On the other hand it is not unusual to take the long e as an ee like in Peter (though this e ultimately derives from a short e in Greek). So I finally suggest to pronounce it like the Nemo-e in Finding Nemo as he/she would have changed his/her name if it didn't fit his/her new uncertain sexual identity like the one of the clownfish. Or he/she had something to his/her name linke Bambie (female part) Thug (male part).

Although Olly Alexander wasnt the best vocalist of the night he did a pretty good job . However I must mention the performance and especially the staging / production was second to none and those dancers were just "WOW", their strength was astounding !! 5*

post eurovision depression tbh didnt hit me... i genuinely enjoyed every single bit of eurovision and it ended with me being rather happy. (i am excluding all the drama though! taking into account only the performances and some funny content)

I did not care one bit for Bambie, vocally or otherwise. Norway was also a total miss as far as I'm concerned. My favorites were Armenia and Israel. Saba is a terrific singer; she was just mismatched with that awful song.

Having listened to all the performances several times, I can’t imagine not including a number of Eden Golan’s vocal moments among the best moments this year, especially if you include France whose vocals are generally amazing although his final performance as you pointed out was not good

I liked Israel's vocal a lot. You need to remember that she was faily consistent considering half the hall was being extremely rude and disrespectful. I'm not sure the other singers could've handled that as well.

So, an example: its interesting that once you say Serbia is one of your favorites, if not favorite vocals and now, few days later, nowhere on the list. Does it mean you are inconsistent with your previous assessment? Plus, why not more criticism overall? Everybody seems to be good according to you :)

Meh... Bambie did an incredible show, but the vocals were not good. She was always out of pitch.
