This vlog was filmed 30th January - 2nd March 2020.
Another great short trip you can take from Medellin is to go to Jardin. A gorgeous colourful little town in the coffee region and home to some of the best waterfall hikes in the world. I teamed up with my friend Cole (@nomadicneverland) to visit these wonders.

Just a warning the part of the hike from Fall of the Dragon to Cueva los Guacharos is now gone due to landslides ): I hiked over one landslide to get to the dragon but the next one was around 30 feet wide and too unstable to go around to get to Cueva unfortunately ): Nonetheless this video was a great guide for getting to fall of the dragon and love the videos!

@@katelyncates5147 Lol I went this July and we just barely made it through the four waterfalls with our lives. DEFINITELY DO NOT RECOMMEND ATTEMPTING THIS. IT WAS DANGEROUS AND THE OTHER SIDE OF THE PARK IS GETTING LOGGED. We literally had to step over logging machinery to get to the road out.

I will definitely go back at some point! I can't plan it right now unfortuntaely with the uncertainty of everything. There was only 1 place in Colombia that I missed (a little town called Minca) but I also missed out on going to El Salvador which was also my plan!

Everytime the lens is foggy I think my glasses are dirty, lol. I wonder if there is anything easy to put on the lens so it doesn't fog up? I use mostly my gopro as well but I only had a problem in Costa Rica.

I find the GoPro generally will last a whole day of recording for me. But I always carry my power bank just in case it runs low!

Wasn't that wasp a tarantula hawk?? You do NOT want to get stung by one of those! From Wikipedia: "...among the most painful of all insects, though the intense pain only lasts about five minutes.[9] One researcher described the pain as "...immediate, excruciating, unrelenting pain that simply shuts down one's ability to do anything, except scream. Mental discipline simply does not work in these situations."[6] In terms of scale, the wasp's sting is rated near the top of the Schmidt sting pain index, second only to that of the bullet ant, and is described by Schmidt as "blinding, fierce[, and] shockingly electric"
