The waves in Wisconsin absolutely pump! Who would've thought that a 10ft swell in Lake Michigan heading into Wisconsin could create such sizable and clean surf for the local surfing contingent. This has to be the best wave in Wisconsin & I'm stoked to share it was a fired up & stoked local crew! What a blessing & what an honor FOR THE DREAM!!! - Ben

Years ago my buddy Andy and I discovered a surf spot on Lake Michigan near St Joseph at a time when no one could understand surfboards on fresh water. I’ve lived in and surfed ideal and blessed waves in Malibu, France and the Caribbean, but I’ve had some of my biggest smiles and best memories surfing MICHIGAN waves. Love your energy, your story and passionate wave hunt. Keep up the stoke!

Now I know what 10ft Wisconsin looks like😂. Still looked super fun at 3-5 ft though and the lads that were out there were the most stoked lads I've seen in a while. Regardless of the size, it's all about the stoke levels, and they were definitely 10/10!!!🏄🤙

Ben I absolutely loved these last to vlogs. I mean lol I watch all your vlogs and love them but, Wisconsin is my favorite place to go catch waves or paddleboard. Pretty close to me being from Iowa. So many cool people and great beaches. Thank you for sharing the stoke!

I grew up on Lake Erie and straight up fantasized about being able to surf my whole childhood, but never got to. Now I live in SoCal and have been surfing, and I can’t tell you how crazy it is to see these videos. So sick that you all found a way to surf the lakes. Can’t wait to see more maybe some day I’ll be able to come back and surf my home break lol.

Back here after a little break and it´s like meeting old friends ;-) I always thought Chicken Joe in "Surf´s up" (the movie that brought me here) made a referrence to "some like it hot" when he said he came from the "Sheboygan " - but there is actually a surf-scene - amazing! Love the part where you got "rescued" by fellow surfers - heartwarming! Thanks for the great year, hope for the best 2022!

It is so interesting, I mean obviously you have opened our eyes to your sessions and knowledge of the surf in the Lakes and the Locals of course. But this particular episode makes me believe that surfing these waves has profoundly improved your surfing overall. Maybe it's an attitudinal thing. And these are real waves, not novelty. Keep oiling the machine or whatever that was, because whatever that was stoked me out. Fully Nukin just before we begin one of the best years of all of our lives.

It's the same with the oceans. It's called a swell and it usually happens quick and is gone quick many times. The goal is to catch them. I live in Florida and it's flat most of the time until a lil swell hits.

Um, ya know, I remember the days there, when Codfish Bay closed on account of the waves there washin' across the road. Ya, and the snows made it bleak and even ice-fishin' got shut down due to blizzard! But golly, we still found ways there to load up the boards into the old sedan and get into the lake there. After surfing, big Linda Svensen would warm us all up if ya know what I mean. She worked processing smelt all day at Grangers Cannery but the smell aside, boy, um, problems forgot there if ya know what I mean!

Great video and love the content! Those aren't even big waves by Wisco standards, lake Superior record wave of 30ft and lake Michigan's highest wave 23ft. Sheboygan has a active surfing community. Hope to see you back in Wisco!
