Best Way to Clean & Scrape Harman Stove Firepot, Burnpot

Welcome back to Pellet Tech 101! In today's video we cover best practices for scraping the Harman burnpot/firepot. Flip the igniter toggle to manual and turn your heat dial all the way down. After about 30 minutes it will be a very small fire allowing you to access deep into the throat of the burnpot while it's in operation.

I’ve used both of those scrapers but to get the carbon that builds up along the edges of the burn pot but nothing works as good as a sharp chisel.

Thanks for the comment. Yeah sometimes the carbon build-up requires a bit more work to come out. We definitely see a difference on various pellet fuel on how much build-up generates in the burnpot. Any future help or assistance needed just let us know. Thanks!

The Super Scraper is 100% worth the money. I no longer use the Harman scraper after getting this.

Thanks for the comment! It does do a really nice job breaking up the build-up with using less force and keeping your hands further from the fire. The Harman arrow scraper is still a good tool to use on the accordion heat exchanger tubes, and a nice wide dry paint brush along with it does a great job in removing the fly ash. Thanks again!
