I did account for the waist band just that I didn't talk about it. I added only 1" to the trousers length even though the bar fold is 2" and seam allowance for the waistband is 0.5". These put together means that the trousers will be short 2.5" right. So, since I added only 1" to trousers length, the waist band will be 1.5" so that the 2.5" that was short will be accountedfor.

Excellent tutorial! Did you use half of the hip measurement to get the center line of the pants? I thought I heard you say waist, although the waist might have the same measurement as the hip in your drafting. Thanks

1. I used half of the hip measurement. 2. No, the waist cannot be the same as the hip since the hip is the biggest part of the buttocks which is protruding. Measurement where the hip is the same as the waist is probably taken from a very 'shape-deficient' body.

I tried my back become longer than the front so i struggled to put banding how do i balance

It is supposed to be that way, yet you are not supposed to struggle to fix the waist band if you know how to fix it the right way. If the back balances with the front, then the trousers will not be able to cover the buttocks well when you bend down. I guess you struggled because you tried to use one waist band for the full waist. You must use two bands; fix one band to the right side of the pant after joining the right front and back together. Do same for the left. Afterwards, join the two bands at the back and you won't have a problem.

Thank you sir for this very detailed tutorial.Pls, my question is when sewing using this very drafted pattern. Will i use 1" to close d sides then moving towards d knee 1/2". Then ,d inner leg/ inseam 1/2" to join them? Also, for the back dart do i use 1 inch for darting....Am thinking d allowances at the back pattern would give me chance / provision for dart? Thank you as you reply....

If you are talking about seaming allowance, don't leave more than 1/2" on both the outseam and seam. Also, let all parts, whether side or knee, have equal seaming allowance. That will help you to achieve balance and for the trousers legs to be flexible. To the second question, yes you will sew 1/2" dart on fold, so that's 1".

You must check your cutting style. If you want a parallel crease, you set a middle line for your trousers when drafting the pattern and don't bias the measurement. If you don't understand this comment, don't worry, just follow after my cutting style in this video and you will be good. Also, before you start sewing the trousers, iron it and create the crease right in the middle of the legs.

The waist measurement was 9.5" and added 2" allowance.

Half inch allowance on both inseam and outseam, no bias. This will make your trousers lay perfect for easy ironing.
