Considering I heard sherwin Williams often uses organic material in their paint and that sometimes stain can be affected by Sh(mainly on wood, not sure about concrete) would you then wash the house with sh if you were to come back to the customer sometime in the future?

So do you soak the whole house down with the solution and then go rinse it ? If so I need to be doing that ..
@ACEContractingServices3 жыл бұрын
It really depends on the weather and how big the house is. If it's very hot and sunny, I'll start on the shade side and wash and rinse those parts.Then move on to the sunny side. You don't want the chemical to sit on the sunny side and dry. If it is a cloudy or rain day, I'll do the entire house and then rinse.

I use a gimbal to shoot my inspection videos. A stable image of paint spots or cracks can save thousands in claims. It also can help a home owner demonstrate work done for insurance, or so their insurance can pay them back for vandalism cleaning. After I got a few insurance company calls asking for footage, I made the filming a standard practice.

How's it going bro just started my busines.... Curious on the no wand , I see some people love wands other don't use it. Is there a time when you use a wand or do you find with jrod your fine without? Gonna get a mtm gun soon thanks in advance
@ACEContractingServices2 жыл бұрын
I use a wand, both short and long. Short wand allows me to maneuver around and wash much easier seeing that I can use it with one hand. The long wand is great for using a turbo nozzle or rinsing a lot of flat surfaces because you can get closer from a distance (curbing, sidewalks, parking stops). I’ve seen the “no wand” washers with a J-rod, but it’s not for me. That thing feels like a fire out of control (once again, for me). I just use it to rinse.

Blue houses are the toughest. Set the expectation that it’s going to be clean but it might become more chalky. Softwash only, no pressure.

Are you wetting the house before applying your chemical?
@ACEContractingServices2 жыл бұрын
I don't/ didn't. I only wet the house if the siding is SUPER hot. So that way it prevents the house flash/oxidize.
@giantslayer4732 жыл бұрын
Where do u get Eliminator Jean? Local or online?
@ACEContractingServices2 жыл бұрын
Online but honestly, any surfactant that’s a SH enhancer will work. It doesn’t have to be exactly eLemonator. That was just a surfactant at the time of the video.

i use bleach and soap and i let it sit for 10 mins and when i go to rinse it off there is still that green!! someone pls help
@ACEContractingServices3 жыл бұрын
First thing first, you have to identify what the green stuff is. It maybe algae, paint run off or oxidation. From there you can find out how to clean/fix it

@ACEContractingServices3 жыл бұрын
@@JasorTube How are you putting SH and surfactant (bleach and soap) on the siding? Downstream, pump sprayer, soft wash pump?
@JasorTube3 жыл бұрын
@@ACEContractingServices I’ve tried pump sprayer and a foam gun by rybobi, it still stays on the siding so I have to get super close and use high pressure to get it off even though it’s super thin
@ACEContractingServices3 жыл бұрын
@@JasorTube if it’s not coming off, this might mean that your bleach is not strong enough. I’ve downstream at 1.5% and it didn’t work. So I went 50/50 in a pump sprayer and it nuked it. The only time I get close is when the siding is already or they are about to paint or fix it.
@akablueman2 жыл бұрын
Instead of painting just remove the oxidation with gutter butter. Much easier than applying new paint and way more profitable.

Why not buy chemicals in bulk? Running to the store for every job is wasteful. When I ran my mechanic shop, anything I used a lot of, I bought a lot at once. Gloves, rags, oil, brake fluid, transmission fluid, windshield washer fluid etc etc. Every trip to the store is time and gas. And when the store is closed or out of what you need, then what? With my welding business, I keep spares of everything I use. I have all the materials on hand ready to go. Saves a lot of time and cost.
@willynilly14452 жыл бұрын
Generally bulk is the way to go if you're going to be working consistently, however, SH degrades from many variables and of the primary variables is time. It's best to get it fresh because the wash mix is expected to have a specific percentage of Sodium Hypochlorite when it hits the house. There's really no way to know how much it has degraded without sending it to a company for testing (that I know of) so trying to get an accurate end result isn't really possible outside of luck if the primary variable is of an unknown potency.
