Buy Leather CPR here: amzn.to/2CNRgsO
In this video I show you an excellent way to clean, condition, and restore the appearance of your Ford F150 and F250/F350 King Ranch leather seats.
This process is sometimes called "King Ranch Spa Treatment". The King Ranch seats require different care from regular vehicle leather seats.
If you have any questions, leave me a comment. If you like the video, thumbs up and subscribe.

I have a few leather couches with similar leather. Very durable but have severely faded with the sunlight that filters thru the room every day. As far as cleaning goes...I use steam. It's just a household size steamer but it works great and the leather does not get wet. You can actually clean your entire vehicle with steam. Not sure I'd make it a regular event on an exotic car or high value resto-mod or anything but it works great on normal cars and trucks. You comparatively use way less water and in the winter...sure beats creating a skating rink on your driveway when you wash and rinse your car with a hose!

I have a green 2002 F150 JUST like the one in your video! You can probably tell from my profile picture as that's the truck I am sitting in. Lol. Thank you for posting this amazingly helpful video. I am going to perform this process on my King Ranch as soon as possible. My seats look exactly like what yours looked like before. After 15 years, the sun has really dried them out and made them hard. I'm hoping this will help to soften them up as well. Thanks again!

Martin Parmer I was referring to the my profile picture. If you look, you can see that I am "sitting" in an F150 King Ranch because the coloring of the seats show that it is in fact the Chaparral leather in which Ford used on their F150 King Ranch trucks of that era. "That" is what I was referring to.

I live right near a award winning crew of guys that make the best and most beautiful saddles in the world out here in OK in rodeo country. They told me exactly how to clean my King Ranch which is just like yours btw. I used saddle soap and washed them with damp clothes first and conditioned them with TLC URAD cream they recommended. This stuff is fantastic and a 20.95 cent tub is enough to do the entire interior three or more times so it doesn't take much. It cleaned it deeper and conditioned it at the same time. Best total leather care we ever used. By the way I've owned Lincoln Navigators almost exclusively since they came out. My first was a 98 and I had a 06 and a 2010 and found the King Ranch used quite by accident! I didn't even know they offered this and about shit when I saw the leather they offer in this package! Simply put the leather in the King Ranch F150 is the finest heaviest duty longest lasting leather I've ever sat on. If you want durable saddle leather that lasts and wears like super bull hide boots you've owned buy this truck or a good used one! You'll love the leather. Nothing beats it! I haven't looked a Lincolns since finding it because I wore holes in those seats! This shit lasts and if you are like me, a real man that beats things up! This is the truck you want too! I have a Silverado also and believe me it doesn't compare to the FORD for refinement and it's a year newer!

I kid you not use it sparingly. If you see streaks after you think you were done you adjust it down because if you see streaks you are using too much he said. You also have the option of using it as a liquid or it will form a wax if slightly chilled. I like the wax. My wife likes the liquid so you know play with it but we really liked it. This truck driver seat was particularly dirty from the first owner. I liked the truck so much, even used that I bought it on the spot for the leather alone because it was like stepping into your office for God's sakes! I was seriously impressed with the package. The leather was dirty though and it concerned my wife but this stuff wiped that grime off it and it's all even looking for tone now and that big dark spot its no where near as noticed. The leather was darker there also but where this stuff really shined for us was the steering wheel. He gripped the steering wheel and it had a thick layer of well, I don't know what it was but I had to literally hold the steering wheel in fresh places when we bought it because it was so grimy but otherwise he kept it clean. He said he tried several things to clean it up but nothing really did it but we got it looking great again with the help of this stuff. I think you'll like it the rodeo guys love the shit.

I've been a professional detailer for years now. I own my own mobile company now, but for about 5 years I worked at the local Ford house and personally detailed every trade in and auction vehicle. I saw a lot of these seats for sure as I worked there from about 06 to 2012. My process is similar to yours, although I use an APC before hand and then use a ton of water. I totally saturate the seats with clean cold water. I use microfiber towels as my applicator and I do rub, because that helps lift stain and any APC residue. the seats are soaked and pitch black when I'm done. Typically, I go ahead and condition at this point, especially now as I typically dont have customer cars for more than a day, or a few hours for that matter. I use my hands and work that conditioner in while the seat is soft and pliable being full of water. When at the dealership I would reapply after the seats dried. I got great results this way and it's a bit quicker than the way you did yours.

From the brochure: "Unique leather rear captain's chairs with leather-covered floor console (standard)." and then "Unique leather 60/40 split rear bench seat (optional)". When looking at used ones online I've seen both configurations. I prefer having the rear bench because it folds down better, so it was a bonus when I saw this one for sale. Hope that helps.

I tried the "spa treatment" on the passenger seat and didn't find that wetting the leather was all that helpful for me, not much grime was lifted. Having read lots of conflicting information I did a little experiment: I treated the driver's seat with Duragloss (maker of KR leather care) and the passenger side with CPR. Personally, I liked the results with the Duragloss leather treatment better. Here was the method that worked best for me: First, I treated the really dirty spots with the Duragloss leather shampoo and a very soft brush using a very light swirling motion and blotting with a clean microfiber towel. I liked this method as the shampoo contained mink oil and lanolin for the leather's health as well. I also sprayed it on the rest of the leather and wiped it "clean." Much was absorbed but it got the dirt up best for me. I found the Duragloss leather treatment more liquidy and it was better absorbed into the leather and softened the leather more quickly. The leather scent was overpowering but calmed down significantly as it dried. Once I've repeated this process to the point I'm satisfied with the leather softness I'm going to evaluate the coloration. There is a KR leather dye available from Leather World Technologies specifically for the Castano leather that they recommend mixing with the conditioner and applying to bring back the original color. Multiple coats supposedly can be applied to darken the leather gradually. Hopefully that will get me back to closer to new. Hope everyone finds this helpful!

Ford uses aniline leather until the new model in 2009. I’ve been and still own king ranches. I have a 2007 currently. I grew up on a 25,000 acre cattle ranch. We had 200 year old saddles. So taking care of saddle leather makes it last forever. Your correct in using water. This should be done 2-3 times a year. If you want, you can remove the darkening non the seats is from skin oils, food oils etc. There’s are dozens of oil removers online. They go on as a liquid and as they dry the oils are captured and pulled to the surface. It usually takes multiple applications figure on a week of cleaning to remove deep stains. Once the oils are out use a very fine sand paper and re-stain the seats using a die according to the year of the vehicles several companies make stain/die. Once done use non NON DARKENING NEATSFOOT foot oil. Once the neatsfoot oil is dry, lightly buff with terry cloth towel. Then put two coats of Fiebings leather natural top coat. I use leather balm OR leather carnuba. My seats look brand new.

Thanks for the input! My seats today are in much nicer shape. I continue to use Leather CPR simply because the seats look so much better I don't think I need to do any drastic treatments now. @@InternetDude king ranch leader prior to 2009 was amazing but FORD really did a disservice to its buyers. The king ranch leather just needs more frequent care and understanding of how to care for it. Had Ford spent just a little time and money educating and providing care products these seats would easily outlast the truck. I have had to replace the foam in my trucks drivers seats. Ford’s foam is of poor quality. Foam can be made to last the life of a vehicle but ford knows a broken down drivers seat drives people to buy new. GM trucks have the same issue. Ram does a much better job with its seat foam. We have fleet trucks and they all have their pluses and minuses. Not endorsing RAM over Ford…. Just in our experience they use better foam (at least from 2010+ models.

Yours turned out great. My nephew used the bear grease on his baseball gloves. It's really good stuff so I tried it on the KR seats. Great for that type of leather.@@InternetDude

I didn't intend for it to be so long but I wanted to include lots of details after watching multiple short, useless King Ranch videos.

No offence taken. I have been thinking about re-doing the video in a very short manner, I'm still out of Leather CPR but I may do a short version doing the backside of the front seats, then people can pick the full rambling video or the short one LOL

I prefer this type of leather over the shit they replaced it with in 2008. As someone who actually grew up on a ranch, this leather is the same type used in saddle leathery and other horse and tack products. It’s easy to maintain and last 1000x longer than traditional crap leather if they’re maintained properly. The key is, most people don’t know how to maintain this type of real unpainted leather. This guys method for cleaning isn’t the best. Some generous scrubbing with saddle soap and a horse hair brush (you’re not going to damage the leather) and a nice rinse with distilled water will have them looking new. To finish off, you apply some mink oil - it’s the same care I give to my saddle which is over 60 years old and it still looks new!
