Id argue they always did that since the early days. It's just by the time they made bloodborne was when they started to ramp it up. Still I really hope they eventually make trick weapons become a concept in other titles.

Killed him and didn’t get the weapon🤔 also killed around 200 respawnable knights and it is not in their drop pool. Meaning that you either get the weapon from the knight or you can’t get the weapon at all. W dlc

@@alexm.6557Nervmind, I found that it seems to be a thing that happened because we didn't play online and therefore didn't get the 1.12 patch yet... Potentially a console issue too. Our only hope is to go to fog rift fort and hope that the knight there drops it for us (he is supposed to drop a shield I think but someone may have got 2 hammers apparently). Otherwise ng+ lol. I hope people notice this and get it fixed.

I found the Cerulean Coast by accident. I exited the Dragon Pit cave and got completely lost while exploring because there was no map fragment. Ended up on Jagged Peak, defeated Bayle, made a right at the dragon communion altar and that's when I ended up on the coast, and found the map fragment. The weapon you get after defeating Bayle at the dragon communion altar is pretty good.

That big hammer is insanely strong, especially if you couple it with a good greatshield and the counter attack talisman. Its got a built in Aoe attack on its counters and it strikes twice :D

Bro, I just used the rivers of blood swords on the Boss that had the twin blades. You know the moon blade and the one that produces fire. I immediately did that first and then the rest of the game was so easy when I got them fully leveled up

Freyas sword with bleed affinity and a pure stregnth build with moores armor and shield is doing me well. I couldnt get the last boss down because I played a holy build the whole dlc and then pretty boy showed up being holy resistant. Oh well it was nice being able to finally use a holy build for the rest of it.

For the last weapon there is only one knight that has 100% drop rate and he's located near the Church Of Consolation. (East from the spawn until you meet a road and follow it down until you reach the church)

You can get that great hammer faster and guaranteed if you go all the way right into the woods to the Church of Consolation. You’ll get the beast claws on the way to it and then get the great hammer from a knight at a camp beside the church.

You can get to the dragon cave early by pulling off a somewhat difficult skip on torrent going up the tombstone wall on the east side of the gravesite plain! You still have to go through the entire cave and defeat the boss though, so if you’re zipping over there you definitely should get some scadutree shards first LOL

The best katana is the one you get from the secret dlc boss named Mind Goblin. It does an insane amount of bleed and frost proc with a cool ash of war

You can also get beast claws right off the bat and once it’s upgraded it’s just op, pair it with mimic and you can just go through bosses like nothing.

Black Steel Greathammer with the new Lion Claw ash of war is insanely fucking broken, especially when you use the cracked tear that increases poise damage. Breaks their stance insanely fast and it’s fun flipping around 😂

I’ve been using dragon katana, star lined katana and backhand blades since I’ve found them they are so good haven’t had much of an issue with anything except rellana

Sacred Blacksteel Greathammer is legit OP on a faith build. Stack buffs, plus double faith flask, use the Sacred blade weapon art to further buff the hammer and chef kiss it all with final buff from Jellyfish Greatshield. Easy boss smasher

That hammer is absolute beast. Best poise damage in class when two handed, best guardcounter when one handed. Amazing damage overall.

I remember when Elden ring Convergence mod first came out the alpha. and people said some weapons were overboard too anime and fromsoft would never. some of the weapons in the dlc are equally overboard if not more. and are we just gonna forget Midir's katana? the abyss watcher greatsword? Gaels weapon? the dual Colossal ringed knight weapon? Friede's scythe? Fromsoft loves over the top weapons
