I had the go II but sold it and bought the DJI Mic and love it. Works perfectly when I need to take audio off the transmitter and plug it directly to my ipad.

Ive always been interested in Rode as an option. But I'm starting to sway towards the DJI because its a cleaner and more versatile design for my needs. I vlog inside stores and need to cut out refrigeration and background clutter noises. Not completely but because I do appreciate some environmental sounds at times.

Suzi could you please tell us to what extend the audio we are hearing is manipulated with audio effects like EQ, deessing, etc. - or is it the completely raw audio we are hearing?

I literally was looking for this video and I knew you would have it, funny you just posted it. Thanks for sharing. I have an Insta X3, and it says the only supported mics are rode our DJI. My hollyland Mike's do not sync correctly with my words and lips, so I have to find a solution, but I found that other people complain that the Insta X.3 does not sync usually words and lips. Thank you for the video

Could you clip the receiver to yourself with a longer trs cable instead of mounting on the camera and have the transmitter on a second person giving you the ability to turn your go pro in any direction without the camera operator losing sound quality and needing to purchase a second transmitter?

I've seen a lot of KZfaq videos and when the Mics are compared, people actually think the Ankerwork has the best audio. The issue with it is the receiver has to be on for the internal recording to work.

asking: 1. can be use with android? i face difficulty using boya with android. 2. it will disable speaker? it troublesome that i need to remove the receiver before i can replay my recording.

First of all: thanks for your time and effort in putting this together. I am looking for a wireless system that has transmitters that also record audio. If the transmission breaks down, I could pull audio from the transmitter itself after the fact. That would be a good backup plan. Do you know if these transmitters can do that?

Yes, the audio can be downloaded from the transmitters, at least for the Rode and DJI systems. Both have USB ports. I think it's easier with the DJI, it becomes a USB device on the computer and files can be copied. With the Rode, the app has to be used to 'export' the audio files, one at a time.

Thanks for the comparison, great ! But the Anker Noise-Reduction in Mode High is terrible and in my mind not usable. I use the DJI and I´m very happy with it ! Great review, thanks !

I purchased the DJI system...I feed the signal into a Rodecaster Pro II....the quality is nothing like yours...sounds like I'm talking into a can. I recorded in a quiet room and even recorded straight to a laptop....what am I doing wrong?

Stay well clear of the Rodes - I love Rode mics (I have 7 or 8 of them) but the go ii is absolute garbage - charging issues and cable issues.... Mine are now bricked and going in the bin... You have been warned.... DJI wireless mics are currently on order to replace the frustratind Rode wireless mics .......

Rode have reached ou via their support and helped me find a process to get them going again. We shouldnt have to go through this - but fair play to rode tech support as they have got things going again. 10/10@@Gemini_Connect

I have been using DJI Mic now for some months and I have to say that I was very excited about the small size and that it is so convenient. However I am not so convinced about the sound quality. Not that it doesn't capture audio well, but I very often feel that the sound is very "muffled", too much bass and then I have to fix this by applying a treble boost in post, but this in turn cause that when I combine clips there is always a audible click between them and I have to fix this in final cut pro by adding a fade between the clips. The strange thing is that this muffled sound doesn't always happen, it is happening on some clips and not on others despite recording with the same setup and often in a very similar environment. Has anyone experience this problem? I am evaluating if I should get th eRode wirless go II but not sure if I would be wasting more money for only a slight improvement. Any thoughts or fixes?

I have the Ankerwork m650's and so far they have been perfect! I have used the DJI and the Rode before and in my opinion the ankerwork (after some EQ tweaks in their app and with the noise cancelation off) sounds as good if not better than the competition. Plus i love the rounded form factor ,i just blacked out the plate that says "ankerwork" and it blends seamlessly with anything my subjects wear. But thats all just my opinion, great video!

@@williamfarnaby I actually used electrical tape and carefully cut along the edges with an exacto knife 😅 Its worked great so far, hopefully it stays that way

Rode Wireless Go II is my vote. We have been using it for 2 years. Last winter on of the TX stopped working, Rode sent a new TX and RX to replace it free of charge. That is great customer service and shows they stand behind their product.

While I did not know about AnkerWorks, this review is super-helpful. I have watched other reviews, and the Røde's way of charging via cables without a case, a shiny, indiscreet look, and a smaller range has me leaning toward DJI. Yet, if it has better sound quality, I have to wonder if that alone outranks DJI. Tough choice!

I’ve been looking at comparisons to choose for my travel needs and think I’m going with the RÖDE Me. It’s the cheapest but the main reason is I’ve got two other wired RÖDE microphones I’ve been using for years and I know from experience the audio and build quality of RÖDE products
