Most of the people I know that have read Cleopatra and Frankenstein didn't enjoy it either! On the other hand I read just for the summer by Abby Jimenez a few days ago and loved it. I will definitely check out the friend zone too!

Cant pick my best but I have my "top 3" books. The Apothecary Diaries light novels by Natsu Hyuuga (historical mystery), The Three-Body Problem by Cixin Liu (hard scifi), and Smoke gets in your eyes by Caitlin Doughty (memoir)

My top books of 2024 are Powerless, ACOMAF, and Binding 13. Books that didn’t live up to the hype for me: The Love Hypothesis, A Fate Inked In Blood, and The Wall Of Winnipeg And Me Some new books that I'm looking forward to later this year are: The Midnight Feast by Lucy Foley, Daydream by Hannah Grace, and Reckless by Lauren Roberts.

@laurandareads So far this year my favourites have been 1. Quilt of Souls by Phyllis Biffle Elmore 2. Down Among the Sticks and Bones by Susan McGuire ( 2nd in the Wayward Children Series) 3. An Education In Malice By S.T.Gibson 4. Dune By Frank Herbert 5. Profile K By Helen Sarah Fields 6. The Sliverblood Promise By James Logan These so far have been the books I loved the best each month, I am out a lot so I listen to a lot of audible books so I can get through depending on size sometimes 1 whole book a day but I also love reading manga and graphic novels A graphic novel I recommend is Haru by Joel Letham it has not long come out but its adorable and has a really good story between a boar and a little bird it's really sweet.

Best so far: Clap When You Land, How to Solve Your Own Murder, and Everyone on this Train is a Suspect! All amazing! Most Disappointing: One Perfect Couple by Ruth Ware (I've loved a number of her books but this just wasn't it! )

Amanda you have to read ACOSF!!!!! It’s the best book in the series. And definitely start Throne of Glass. I just got my fiancé to read the whole series and he loved it as much as I do. The Only One Left was my favorite of last year so I’m so happy you loved it Amanda! I hope both of you have some great reads for the rest of the year.

I definitely recommend you start ACOSF! I hesitated on reading it cause I wasn't a fan of Nesta.. but once I started I finished it in two days and only because I had to be an adult 😅

The Measure has been the best and the fragile enchantment was the most disappointing. I have read 37 books so far this year. I reallt enjoyed Powerless so i am excited for the next book in a few weeks.

Biggest disappointment I DNF’d Jade City Too many characters I couldn’t keep track of and wasn’t sure who I was supposed to care about. Girl what are you even doing with your life… haven’t finished acotar omg… yall should do a 24 hr reading challenge and only goal is to finish acotar and zodiac academy and to make sure yall get it done you can’t buy ANY NEW BOOKS until that one book (for each of yall) is finished !! Then yall can celebrate and you’ll know what happens in acotar and not get spoiled win win
