Wow. There's a lot in this one! I'll save it for future reference. Some observations on specifics - - Don't forget the powered selfie stick when it comes to 'all day power'. It not only keeps your camera running without changing batteries, it also provides a very handy remote on/off and record buttons in the handle. - Internal audio - I do agree with you when you recommend the stereo audio setting. But the direction focus setting has some hidden possibilities for those wanting the last word in audio control. First, if you've used direction focus and you don't like the outcome, in the Studio 2022 program you can untick direction focus and revert to stereo retrospectively. But there's a hidden feature, namely that selecting direction focus in the camera causes each mic to be recorded to a separate audio channel. In 'DaVinci Resolve' and probably other good video editing software you can then manipulate those four channels quite easily to steer the STEREO audio image to match reframed video. Admittedly this is not beginner stuff, but it's not that hard really. A few people have seen my guide to this - more would see it if you did one! Thanks for another great video!

I do have the power selfie stick but I personally find it too heavy (especially when extended) and you lose waterproofing. But the remote features are cool! I don’t think you can turn off direction focus in the app right? I tend to promote the mobile workflow because it’s easier than desktop 😊👍🏽

@@Best360 True, the powered stick is heavier than the normal one. As for the mobile app - I've never even tried it! So many options... so I'm not sure whether there's a DF off button in there somewhere.

I got my X3 earlier this week. Frankly it is too cold to go out and try it just yet but plan to try something tomorrow. I must confess I have been absolutely gorging myself on your excellent tutorials. I like your way of explaining things in very easy to follow terms. I ordered your carbon fibre monopod, magnetic car mount and 3 stainless steel counterweight yesterday and look forward to taking them to Scotland with me on December 24th. I hope to get some interesting footage using some of your advice. Many thanks for all of it.

Hi mate! Your videos are amazing and helpful. About my insta 360 x3, I've used for a while and I am having a black line in the videos down in the stick area or the accessory I may use, while I am recording with it. I removed the protector lents and the screen protector as well and the problem remains. Do you know what to do? Is it a camera mistake? Thanks in advance

Can you do a starlapse settings video? I cannot turn off starlapse when i accidentally start recording.Imagine this happens on a slope skiing. I have to wait until it creates one cycle.its a long wait. In manual settings changing lens exposure shortens the interval.

Very informative video and helps a lot personally with creating videos. I do have question though, i have been trying to search for answers but I cant find what im looking for. My question is, what setting does i need to correct or adjust cause i have a video right now which i thought was a lerfect shot until i went on to edit it, and the color of my shirt is on and off which is red then it turns kinda grey. Yes for casual motorcycling it will be fine. But not high speed. You have to also use a good clamp

I observed that too... It was the first time I used it yesterday and it heats up... I think it is because of the higher resolution/bit rate... Just wondering if there's any limit to record and give it a break in between😐🤔

Any advice or workaround for this....? Do you have the same disappointment/problem? I’ve noticed with the X3’s bigger file size for 360 still photos that the Insta360 app on my iPad does not include some of the adjustment buttons that I used before. It’s Weird because the bigger 72mp photo can get animated in the app, but just not photo enhanced with filters or adjustments like it can be done with smaller sized photos I took with my One X2. I prefer editing mobile and don’t care to use the studio desktop software.

The 72mp photos are super large and have limited functionality. You must shoot in 18mp to work with it in the app I’m afraid

Hmmm thanks i thought the flickering of my video was i put it in auto at the anti-flicker so i changed it 60hz. My shutter speed though is 1/120

With the 360° videos the good thing about the directional is that if wearing headphones or on Dolby it will match the sound with the direction

Hi, loving your videos but I see in this one you can export in a max of 1440 in studio and yet you are able to record in 5.7K. So it seems that you are loosing so much of the quality. Did I get this right?

No - 5.7K is spherical video. When you cut out a 16 by 9 out of a spherical video then you are only using a portion of the 5.7K. So you are only really getting 1080p output.

In mobile app, 4k is not allowed? i couldnt find 4k option. Desktop app has 4k option but has not any filter and trim option. Insta apps are so awful
