Tbf Sleeping Zenitsu is da real MVP, the awake one is a vimp-simp. He is a split personality btw, the one we see while asleep is the actual Zenitsu.

@@Furrina89 I see it more as Zenitsu's subconscious coming forward without the burden of the active anxiety and fears. Like an extreme meditation. Unless it's something that is really bothering you or super repressed, everything tends to melt away while you're asleep.

There's a small scene in rhe manga that shows that zenitsu would come talk to nezuko in her box. It would from just normal things like how his day was like and nezuko would reply with her scratches. It seems that because of his amazing hearing he is able to communicate to her this way.

@@passionprey1293 Ngl, I wasn't too fond of Zenitsu upon him first showing up. He seemed like a typical annoying main character that would somehow get by with just dumb luck. But when they shown he's a completely different person while asleep, thats when I started to like his character. The way he is as he's asleep is probably what he would be if he wasn't such a coward. When the revealed more of his backstory, it then made me like him as a character. When you look into his history, you'll start to maybe appreciate & understand why he is the way he is. Poor guys had a sad life. Taken advantage of by previous women, Has no guidance in life due to not having his own parents raise him. And on top of that (SPOILER) his ''Gramps'' commits suicide. He's unsure how to go about life. Yes, he IS a pervent & quite aggressively persistent but when he meets Nezuko, he doesn't treat her the same way he did previous girls. You can tell his love for her is genuine when on his death bed (Him nearly dying from Spider poison) all he could think about is Nezuko. He even said what's important to Tanjiro, is important to him. So im my eyes, Nezuko WILL be taken care of by Zenitsu. Tanjiro has even allowed him to look after her. Once he was introduced to her, its like no other girl exists. If he still went after other girls even after then I wouldn't like him so much. I understand your hatred for the pair. But honestly, Zenitsu DOES treat her well. Even if he doesn't have the personality of a confident guy. His heart is definitely in the best place for her & has even changed himself for her. Hey, least in that dream of his (In the movie) it wasn't about him drooling over her body. He wants to do genuine loving stuff with her. Like holding her hand. Which from what ive read about, previous girlfriends refused to do with him. I like Zenitsu. He's a poor guy lost in his world of demonic creatures. But I totally get his loud whimpy personality could ruin his character.

Agatsuma Zenitsu when he was sleep became so cool, charismatic but it's different when he awake from his sleep, full of fears,scared of death, like to scream, annoying. But...... I still love him, i found him actually just full of fears. After he met Tanjirou, you could see him be better than before. At Mugen Train movie, you could see how he protect Nezuko, he's actuallya very great person, just that he's full of fears. He knew all the times that Tanjiro bring a demon together with him but he never ask him why, he just wait for the right time and want Tanjiro to open his mouth by himself and tell him why. I don't know why peoples hate his character. He might be annoying but you can't deny the fact when the urged of feelings want to protect, he actually equel to Tanjiro, without he realized, he protect all the peoples he loved. Kuddos to Shimono Hiro for potraying Zenitsu's character that perfect!

Pervert? No. But he does have obsessive attention seeking tendencies towards females only. Generally when one is lonely, they don't care what gender they surround themselves with so as long as they have company. He's just girl crazy. But he's young, so he has time to mature. At least he isn't just another useless comic relief. Zenitsu is likeable, in my opinion.

Zenitsu can be amazing. When he isn't being dramatic or clingy lol Those wise introspective thoughts and his fighting scenes? They show who he is. Plus whenever he does something despite fear or laziness.
