With Britain failing to fall at Hitler's feet, the Blitz drew to a close, as the Führer turned his attention eastwards. The sinking of the German battleship, the Bismarck, lifted the spirits of the British Navy, and as Hitler's campaign for Russia, code named Operation Barbarossa, got underway, the course of World War II veered dramatically.

I agree with the viewer below who criticised that the episodes are neither numbered nor in the proper order, making them difficult to follow. Could the channel rectify this problem? Thanks in advance.

When Molotov payed the offical visit to Berlin in 1940 he was not only the minister of foreign affairs but also a prime minister. He held this position till May of 1941 when the post of prime minister was taken by Stalin. This episode gave the wrong conclusion that Stalin was the prime minister in 1939-40. In fact Molotov was the prime minister since the 1930 and he suprisingly announced over the radio that SU was attacked by Germany on the day of the operation Barbarossa.

The timeline described at the start of this episode is totally haywired - Rommel didn't besiege Tobruk while the German Airborne troops attacked Crete - that happened before Rommel even arrived in Libya, not at the same time!

Interesting/informative/entertaining. Excellent photography job enabling viewers to better understand what the orator was describing. Special thanks to veteran soldiers sharing personal information/war time Experiences. Thru diaries & memoirs for future generations to better understand& appreciate the hardships & sacrifices endured by all involved with WW-2. The disillusioned leadership in Berlin. Made major military blunders. Allowing the WW-1 dispatch runner 🏃 corporal Hitler 😈 to engage in a new offensive actions. Before a prior one was completely secured. North Africa campaign still raging/Russian invasion commenced over stretching military personnel & supplies. Also allowing the ( R.A.F. ) ample opportunity to replenish aircrafts & pilots.

n @CleanRiverFishingTV It has nothing at all to do with "music haters", but nowadays it´s already somekind of pollution. Even BBC-documentaries are almost not to understand due to this obnoxious background noise like in a shoppingmall. Peoplöe needing noise can easily use earplugs with favourite music, which is almost common even if you go hiking in forests. So, for god´s sake, spare "normal" people from being drowned in artificially added noise.

@@veritas_13 I would love to spare Peoploe.. with 2 dots.. but WHAT are they?!?!? YOUR issues are YOUR issues with sound and your ears.. really. I can hardly think of a documentary or movie that DOESNT use music as a background score. Thankfully.... you seem to be the only moaner.. on this production. :-)

What an amazing character that Winston Churchill was. Talk about a life of service to his country. His career is just insane. He had his mishaps and without a doubt had his redemption. I've read his World War 2 memoirs book, it's just a great read. I don't think any other person could of got England thru the war like that. There were so many push overs. Neville Chamberlain gets a bad rap, when all's he was trying to avoid was the massacres and life loss of his countryman like he witnessed in the First World War. He was taking a hit to avoid war. There is so much to learn about mankind in this war.

A useful review of 1941, bringing up most of the major events. There are, however, several; problems with this video. And two of the two most important matters are not mentioned. 1. Lend Lease does not get a single mention. Despite the fact that it was American Lend Lease that enabled Britain to continue the War and made it impossible for Hitler to invade Britain. It gave a bankrupt Britain a blank check to access American industrial power and resources, especially oil. [Note kind of out of chronological order, Lebnd Lease does get mentioned, but without the importance it deserves.].] 2. And it was Britain's continued resistance that forced Hitler to invade the Soviet Union. It was something he intended to do, but only after finishing with Britain in the West. Only Germany did not have the economic power to maintain a massive military on a war footing indefinitely. Unlike Britain, no one was writing the NAZIs a blank check or providing unlimited volumes of oil.

@ 1:35, it states that "Mussolini had been drawn into the N Afrikan campaign" when IN FACT Germany had been drawn into ITALY'S failing campaign in Libya, and the Afrika Korps was sent to pull Mussolini's chestnuts out of the fire. Libya was an Italian "possession" and it had been attacked by British forces in order to protect their "possession" in Egypt and the Suez canal, as well as paybacks for Ethiopia (Abyssinia).. Also, @2:58 it mentions the "allied lines".. there were no "allies" at that time. The US wasnt in the war then and two years away from being in N Afrika. With France out of the war and Vichy pro-German, the British Empire, as stated earlier, was standing alone. @5:15 they say that Stalin was preparing for war with Germany and bringing in extra troops from the East to defend Moscow. This is patently FALSE, and only occurred AFTER Barbarossa was launched- not until November in fact. In fact, Stalin removed or imprisoned generals who tried to tell him that a German attack was coming. He refused to reinforce the border, and later shot the generals whose armies were steam-rollered by the Wehrmacht. REALLY SLOPPY with their facts! Dunno if I can continue to watch this BS💩-laden "gem"...

Notice what the bible tells about the Last Day. "In last day kingdom will rise against kingdom nation against nation and there will be food shortagees and earthquakes and these will be only the beginning of the pangs. People will faint knowing what's coming. People will lose love and increase of lawlessness. God of heaven will set up a kingdom and this kingdom will destroy all human kingdoms and will last forever alone. No more wars or practicing military drills. Meek ones will inherit the earth and live forever in exquisite delight. Appointed time has arrived for God to destroy those who are ruining the earth" What's next? Armageddon will struct globally and all the human governments will dissappear from the earth. Keep expectation of it.
