Suriname is found at the heart of the Amazon: a country of jungle. At 163,000km2, it is a sixth of the size of France, covered in dense, green forest. There are few roads and some tracks and large rivers: floating motorways where canoes serve as cars and trucks. To travel from one village to another, you don't hit the road, you take the river... And its temperamental waters.
Directors : Paul Comiti and David Geoffrion

Hi, if it's a 4wheel drive , why are only the frontwheels spinning when it was stuck in the mud? Also when they were "flying" through the mud you could literally see the mud flying through the air coming off the spinning front wheels, but almost none from the rear wheels. If this is a 4wheel drive , i wonder why? It appears to be a Mazda Tribute and they also have a 4wheel drive model. And all the goldigging with mercury is heavily polluting/poisoning the rivers, look at brazil where a lot of the rivers have mercury poisoning. You can hardly consume fish/wildlife there. People get fatally ill. Regards

Those outboard engines are not diesel powered, they are 2 stroke gas engines. Have been in the marine industry for almost 30 years, this is fact. Yamaha started making 4 stroke diesel just recently and they are VERY expensive.

I don't think four canoe's would haul that excavator. It's close to 140,000 lbs ... That's 70 tons No way those canoe's would transport it. They've had to walk it in another way that they don't want to make public.
