I bought the Icotec a couple of years ago and it has been brilliant. Well worth the money, and it'll go out remotely to 300 yards. Rob at Bestfoxcall will bend over backwards to help and you won't be waiting 3 or 4 days to hear back from him so thanks Rob and the team there. Great feature of this is you can put your own sounds on the SD card to be more 'country specific', and it's dead easy (even I managed it...) Great value machine, all you need.

I have the gc500 with decoy great piece of kit ....the on/off switch on the handset broke and I contacted bob by phone, he sent out a new one and trusted me to return the faulty unit . now that's customer service cheers

Would have like to hear it, looks like promos made an exact copy. Was thinking a more powerful Omni directional speaker might work better. Would be cool to change it and program it with literally anything you want.

Just picked one up awesome bit of kit down loaded more call that suit me and I am very happy with it

Hi Richard I have the gc500 it has a backlit screen remote works out to 300 yds and got the lure fitted great bit of kit I was going to buy the fox pro until I saw the icotec it’s cheaper and dose the same job if not better cheers keep up with the reveiws

Hi Richard, David D. here in Melbourne, you'll know me from emails. By chance, I saw the GC 500 model in my local gunshop yesterday and went ahead and bought it as it was being demo'd and was working well. I have no doubt that it will work just fine in the field. I decided to get onto the manufacturer's website straightaway so that I could download more calls to enhance the library as coyote and whitetail deer calls won't be useful for me here in Australia and this is where problems have arisen. Their login system is easy enough and getting a password to proceed comes quickly, but going on from there is not simple at all and on being directed to free sounds download it becomes cumbersome. Worse, the sounds are downloaded in a most unusual file format and, as it happens, my MacBook Air can't open them. The file format is .ico and a google search reveals that this format is for images rather than audio so I am completely mystified and find it a big black mark against the company that it would make things so complex. I now have a very tech savvy friend on the job but he too is finding problems with it. So, no problems or disagreements with your comments regarding the build and sound quality and so forth but getting more sounds from the company is definitely not something that is a plus point! Of course, you may not have tried this side of things out yourself but if you do have further info on the company's sound library it would be much appreciated. I would certainly be happy to pay for additional calls but don't want to get into sending money for something that I can't open on my MacBook and be unable to transfer to the device. Got that caller amd the remote works well however , you do have to have the controller in your hand . I've had it in my pocket many times and bent to get something and changed the call 😂 plus if not stowed with space the buttons depress and runs the batteries down . Only minor things that once you know can be worked around , an on off button for the controller would be nice .

Hi Richard thanks for the review, the only thing i was disappointed about was it would have been nice if you turned it on so we could at least here it for loudness like you did with the other model .

FYI the competition of icotec are foxpro and lucky duck. Also the remote of the GC500 is way better....and back lite

I thought fox callers were illegal in the UK ? Seen a video about a gamekeeper who got arrested for killing two owls and the Police and RSPB officers found a fox caller in the guys car and they said he's also got an electronic caller in the video . Are they illegal ? Is this right ???
