Pretty solid, especially for the price. Works better as a blender than a food processor, but is generally reliable either way. Not the most powerful machine, but again, especially good for the price. The purchase was a nice surprise.

Be sure not to run it for more than 15 seconds, then pause 30 seconds. The motor has bushing type non lubricated bearings inside, which heat up when running for too long, which will wear and damage these bearings quickly

I have one, and was making a mixed drink in the large cup. It was perhaps 3/4 full, when I activated the motor (everything was seated just fine), fluid shot up out the gap between the lid and the shaft that holds the blades (easily seen in your video at 00:35 seconds). The fluid then leaked out the top of the lid, and over the snapped down pour lid. If there were a better seal between the blade and the lid, I'd be happy.

I have a Ninja Storm which is very much like this. I enjoyed using it, but found the liquid splashed up and into the opening in the motor lid. It is difficult to clean as I cannot put water in the lid. Have tried q tips soaked with water, but do not know how effective that is as I cannot see into the opening.

I absolutely love my NInja Master Prep. I will never buy a McDonald's McCafé Frappé Caramel again becuase you can make the best ones from your Ninja. I make the best salsa and the kids loved the fruit snow icees I made from the crushed snow ice. As far a healthy smoothies, this is hands the best for my green smoothies. Love it. My only thing from the video I see is that I only pulse in increments in order not to burn out the motor.

Looks very useful, but I feel like this is more on the side of a blender than an actual food processor, no? Just wondering, cause it was rated the top food processor of 2014 on a website, but there's no slice and dice to it, more like smoothies, purées and etc.

Hi Sophie, you can buy a 4 cup Cuisinart which should work if you are looking for something small. Click here to see it: amzn.to/2gsR4ji For more versatility, I would suggest the Cuisinart 7 cup - you get 2 discs to shred and slice. Watch my review of that here: kzfaq.info/get/bejne/jtJmgKeZy63FcYU.html Hope that helps you decide on a food processor :)

Impossible to clean the motor! When you make a large smoothie it will spill over a bit and get on the motor. Issue is that your not supposed to use water to clean the motor and it’s impossible to get all the small areas with just a paper towel. Motor is developing a smell and collecting bugs. Anyone else have this issue?

I’ve had mine for a couple of years and now the 16oz portion leaks all the time when making a smoothie. I think for the price the seal should last longer than 2 years. Very disappointed because my old BASIC blender lasted about 10 years before I got rid of it. Won’t ever purchase another IMHO.

Hi, it's best to buy a more powerful blender for nut butters 😀

Only problem I have with it is its kind of all-or-nothing. It's not nearly as good at blending as it is destroying! lol

I have had mine for about a year. The plastic blender plastic has gotten really cloudy. How can I remove it do you know? Thanks!
@bestkitchenreviews
@bestkitchenreviews 9 жыл бұрын
4JeannieSB You could try chopping up a lemon and blending it for about a minute. The citric acid may help with the cloudiness. Another possible solution is to mix a little baking soda with vinegar, wipe on the jar and leave for a few minutes. Rinse off. Hope one of those solutions work :-)

If you only fill the containers half full, the contents don't splatter into the lid too much 😊

I'm using my Ninja as I'm watching this......Wild Blueberry non-dairy smoothie. This machine is AWESOME! I bought mine at Walmart for $49.99 CAD. This is the best thing EVER! I use mine almost everyday. ;)

Overall good video thanks but it's a bit misleading. Or maybe they changed it? The Ninja Master Prep QB1000 comes with 2 containers the 48 and 16 like you listed here, and again thanks for the video. The professional version is about 10 dollars more and comes with a third container, a 40 ounce container.

Hey there, I got my Ninja Master Prep Professional yesterday. I just assembled everything like in this video...and electrical smoke and smell started coming out of the motor but it still worked. Do you think I got a dud?

Hi, it's best to exchange it for another unit. There should be no smoke or smell coming out of the blender :)

It's working fine now. Maybe the motor brushes had something from the factory over them and it burned off. Thanks anyway! God bless you!

Beverly Walker Hi Beverly, if you want to powder whole spices like cinnamon sticks, cloves, dried chiles etc., it's best to get a small grinder like the Krups for under $20. I've had one that has lasted me many years - here is the link to the Krups grinder amzn.to/1NuNKD0 and my review - kzfaq.info/get/bejne/rLahZdmH29-mnZc.html

Hi, the large container is best for smoothies and frozen drinks and the small is intended for chopping, dicing and pureeing. Hope that helps! Please subscribe if you haven't already :)
