I don't have the skywriter, but have the sunrider on my 2 door. Second year I have had it and it's awesome. Super easy to instal and open

Thanks for another helpful video! We've installed 2 Sunriders on our 4 door hardtop Bronco. First top didn't have the 2 center windshield bracket detents, so had difficult latch operation and huge wind noise. Bestop quickly identified the issue and replaced the top with a version with those center windshield bracket detents - HUGE improvement! We're now very happy with our Sunrider!! Cheers

That's awesome to hear. I was thinking about this more today, and part of me wondered if they just approved my warranty claim because I said I was going to make a KZfaq video on it. But it sounds like they are willing to stand by their products regardless, which is definitely a huge plus.

@@RagnarKon Yeah agree, Bestop customer service was very responsive to our concerns, asked for photos and shipped a replacement top the next day. Oh by the way, their Sunrider's a much easier install. I removed the 1st top and installed the replacement in 'bout 30 minutes - Easy peasy!.

Just installed Skyrider on my 2-Door Badlands. Install was easy and I now I have a pseudo-convertable!

I had the same dilemma as you. I needed to access the owner's manual but didn't want to sit out in the car. If you check your Ford pass app, you'll find a copy of the owner's manual in there and you can access it through your phone or whatever you're using the app on. Just an FYI. thanks for sharing this video. Under the >service tab, go to >reference guide and you'll find your >owner's manual there 🤙🏼

I actually did not know that. I had a PDF copy of the manual stored on my phone, but didn't know you could get it through FordPass. Thanks!!

I'm a new owner. Mine came with a soft top. Do you know of a place to look for a used hardtop? They are so pricy!

Thanks for this vid. Unless you didn’t post your frustrations lol… you truly have the patience for this. I know I’d be going crazy. Curious to know how it rides with top down on the freeways and highways? any ear-busting winds?

You can tell it's a soft top. If you've driven a convertible or a Jeep Wrangler soft top before you'll know they're definitely lacking in the "quiet ride" department. But that's kind of the price to pay by having a top that's easy to remove. In my opinion it's nothing ear-busting, very manageable. But compared to your modern SUV, yeah... it's loud.

A company called Bartact. I don't know how much you can tell from the video, but those visor covers are on the thick side. I would almost say they are too thick-the visors don't sit perfectly flat against the Bronco.

I installed mine on my 2022 4-door Wildtrak and it leaks at the seam of the soft top and hard top when going through a car wash. Has anyone else had that issue? Any solutions?

I currently have a badass tents half rack on my bronco. Now that you have yours installed. Do your see clearance issues when the tops folded back??

I don't know about the Badass Tents specifically. But I have a TrailRax half rack and I can use the Skyrider with that. The TrailRax doesn't quite let the Skyrider fold _all_ the way back, but it's still very usable.

Can you take the rear hard top off without removing the skyrider?

Found my answer: Unfortunately not, the Skyrider attaches to the rear part of the Hardtop at 3 points so it can't be removed. ~Crystal@Bestop

@@bradasmithIt only mounts to the hard top itself in one spot (in the center). The other two mounting points are on the Bronco itself-the Skyrider and hard top share the same mounting points. You could probably make it work if you bought some thick washers to act as spacers (in place of the hard top mounting brackets). But it's certainly was not designed to function without the hard top.

What a POS .... Spent an hour on as Saturday installing it ...spent 2 hours trying to figure out why it would not close. Dealership where I bought it with a matching VIN, was of no help! Totally defective product. Instructions are not nuanced fro a Raptor ( like the dealership indicated they were). So, I followed suggestion of a fellow commenter below , which is always counter to good mechanics... "force it" ; so I did , with two people as suggested. Both side cables snapped. Had we forced it further the plastic frame would have snapped. I would post a video if I could!.... Took it off to learn that it is built so poorly it will not close on itself on or off the vehicle. Yeah Really !..... and YES, I am more than a handy mechanically inclined guy. DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY. WHAT AN INSULT TO A BRONCO RAPTOR! Returning it to Byers Ford Delaware, OH and very happy I used American Express....they will settle any issues if I can't. What a poorly executed great concept!
