Thanks....very helpful! Adding....go clock wise when dialing through the functions. Don't turn counter clockwise. For longer life.

Thanks, that’s better than the bestway video. I’ve discovered the off "X" setting is useful to prevent the silt leaking back into the pool when the pump is off. I use one of these on my home made spa.

We have the same pool and pump up here in Canada Dale. I see your handle is starting to look like mine. I built an inexpensive cover for mine out of some fence boards that I had on hand. Kept the back with some gaps between the boards for air flow. Waiting for Friday’s video. Cheers!

Thank you so much for.your videos!!! I was wondering about regular pool maintenance and running the filter. Do i need to run it around 5 hours everyday? Or what is your reccomendation? Also what about for winter storage, what are tips and steps for that?

Great video. We have had this pool for 4-5 years, and the pump finally went out... We're having a hard time finding specifications on the Bestway filter pump! Any help on finding are replacement unit (just the motor...) make/model would be much appreciated!

hi i have the exact pump as yours and when i leave the lever on filter mode it drips water from port d does this happen to you ? and i dont use the cap because i have a hose attached to it

When you rinsed in the beginning you had the cap off to drain the water, but later after you backwashed you rinsed with the cap on. What is the difference in the two cases? Our initial startup is tomorrow. I’m not sure when doing the initial rinse after the backwash if the cap should be on.

I’m getting air pumping into the pool. Not sure why. Tried rinsing and backwashing. It’s like it aerating. Could it be i need to add more sand? There is some loss during a rinse. I’m lost.

Very helpful video. I have a small bit of waster leaking between the control piece & the tank. Checked the gasket / seal and it is good shape. Any ideas on how to resolve this ?

Check to make sure the gasket or O-ring is seated properly and the screws are tight.

Hi! I just bought this pool. I installed it today and noticed when I started to add the water. 2hrs in. The sides started to bow inward. Is that normal?

I just setup the new bestway Costco pool and the pool pump it came with says it shouldn’t go higher than 6.5 psi, but it’s at about 8.5. I have the solar heater it came with hooked up. Should I be worried about the psi being that high?

Just started using this Bestway filter, it seems to work fine, the water after few days got clear and was happy with the result. Few days later I noticed it spits some really dirt water after I start the pump which I do not think is normal. After 1 week of usage I decided to back wash it: Closed port A, put pump into the backwash position and turn it on. I let the water flow (it was really dirty) till it became clear, then set it to rinse, some more brown water came out. Once this was done, I set the pump to filter position, opened port A and turned it on... it and still blew some dirty water to the pool. Anyone has any ideas what could be wrong?

how many pounds of sand fits in there trying to order some but cant find out if I need just one 50 lbs or a few bags of sand

In case you haven't yet, just a regular 50lb bag should be fine.
