If you think about it, CBFD is kind of a sad game... All Conker wanted to do after having a fun night out with the guys, is go home to Berri and have a bottle of beer! Instead, he goes through almost getting stung three times by gigantic wasps to help a selfish honey bee queen, almost get's stabbed by a pitch fork (which he later befriends) almost gets trampled on/blown up by a hay bail android, on top of that, almost drowns/gets electrocuted, almost get's eaten by a bulldog fish, gets chased by a bull, has to fight a giant poo monster, fights in arena with cavemen trying to kill him, then almost gets eaten by a raptor (Who he also befriends) then, has to fight the King Caveman and risked getting smacked with a giant bone, also, trying to avoid falling into or, getting knocked into lava, fights the undead, gets turned into a bat, watches his crazy ancestor fall to his own death (who was originally going to kill him) later, fights in a brutal war, pretty much all by himself (Rodent was a piss ant) then, robs a bank, watches his girl friend die, gets sent to space, then battles an alien... All because, he went left, instead of right at the bar. If there is one thing I learned from CBFD, don't get drunk.

This is one of the games that proves that a rated M game can still have bright color and charm.

That experimenting cutscene, I see why they removed it. Made my stomach churn when Conker said he's still alive...

Oh, my god, this was amazing. That unused Casualty Dpt. cutscene gave me the chills.

Conker is going to be a playable character in Project Spark, so that's probably the closest we'll get to an actual new Conker game any time soon.

To be honest, the part where he talked about the canceled sequel and how we will never play Conker 64 again was a little emotional for me.

When he said "Ohhh noooo... He's still alive..." I was like "OH JESUS!!"

That removed cutscene was just... just wonderful considering I didn't want to sleep anyways.

Well, didnt plan to sleep tonight when he showed the cut experiment scene and music.

Actually, the guy who voiced Conker released tons of stuff on his twitter account about "Conker's Other Bad Fur Day" and said that there were to be two versions of Berri and that Berri would eventually become the main antagonist for the second portion of the game as the game would have been split into two with one being Conker getting thrown into prison, escaping, but then getting recaptured and being beheaded and sent to hell where he would meet Greg the Grim Reaper. This would be where Greg would show his true colours and tell Conker that he made a deal with the dead panther king in that Conker's soul would be his due to a out-clause (where if you die, you still come back to life in Conker BFD/LNR), that if a squirrel dies via head decapitation, he can no longer go back to the world of the living and thus he would be there. This then leads the Panther King taking over Conker's dead body (thus becoming his doppleganger) and usurping the real Conker for the throne, and would lead you as Conker to try to escape hell and get revenge on Greg the Grim Reaper by bringing in the souls of cats (which he hates) and then battle him and after you defeat him, he will send you back up to get rid of you, then you go around and eventually fight the Panther King in the dopplegangers body which dies soon afterwards, then Conker would go into space and fall in love with another character, try to get married but the love interest dies at the alter by Berri which turns into the second part of the game. Berri would then become the true antagonist of the game as she becomes the "panther queen" and that it's the real Berri as the professor kept her body in cryostasis after somehow surviving. This would be setting up the final part of the game where Berri dies again and the professor dies for good and Conker becomes ruler of the galaxy. ...Or something like that, check his twitter account out, I can't recall what he put, but most of what I put is correct lol

Interesting video :) I was a tester for Rare back in the day and played 12 Tales. You were not missing much, there was VERY little game there as it was eventually canned. there was the outside bit with the windmills. you could go inside the windmill and you had to run on a stone to turn the windmill and a present or something appeared. There was a little cave section. There was a BOSS fight in the forest which was actually pretty cool, it was a spooky woods with like a giant teddy bear type thing with a big club that said stuff like "where you running from". There was also a wild west level and a Colosseum. I recall seeing conker on a uni cycle too. The purple dinosaur was going to be like a pet dog you could give commands too. if you want to know how it played, think of how mario 64 plays outside the castle, vs how it plays when you jump into an actual level. Twelve Tales was nowhere near finished and as a result ,it had the feeling like you were just running around outside the mario castle, whatever level you were on. Basically, everyone wanted to rip off mario 64 and conker and banjo were rare's attempt at that :) No comment on the pirate stuff. Anything is possible I guess. The game did actually have a scottish connection in it which I found interesting, but I won't speculate on whether members of staff stole roms etc. I can tell you that Rare ran a very tight ship and anyone caught doing this would have had their career and reputation ruined.

Conker 2 plot sounds utterly amazing... We can only hope they come to their senses and make it

Every day I wish more and more that we had gotten Twelve Tales...it looks so promising.

I hope everyone will be able to play this Conker game. Sure, it might not be like the Conker we know and love, but I’m sure this will be a fun game to play. Rare, if any employee reads this, *please* release this game if anyone there has this.

I'm actually glad Nintendo requested Rare to replace that dark casualty department scene out of the game. It was too dark, out of place, and intense for this game even, that music was just unsettling, and so out of place. I love the humorous scene that replaced it. Either way, at least the gameplay during that sequence was still dark. There was something eery about that frantic music, and a bunch of bloody tediz in surgeon gear throwing bloody knives at you, especially when the big and speedy one bursts out.

If that music for the Experiment cutscene made it properly into the game I'd imagine it being in all those "Top Ten Spookiest Game Soundtracks" lists. That vivisection and fucked up music got to me though.

If the guy who bought the game "conker 64 only" could get a n64 game to pc adapter and run some data recovery software he might be able to get it the prototype back assuming the data didn't get corrupted.

Man, the ambience in the experiment cutscene is incredibly unnerving. Just imagining that in real live, would have been..... ... nothin' but pure sadism and brutality. **shuders**

I wish Twelve Tales was released, along with Bad Fur Day. I love Bad Fur Day, and even it's less popular remake, but I still think the game's original family version looked more fun. I'd even take a Xbox Live Arcade port of Conker 64 if I could. Our only hope is for an N64 Rom to find it's way onto the internet, but it's impossible. So many theories on what happened to it, some say it was lost, some say it was deleted intentionally by Rare, and some say Rare has it, but won't release it. All we know is it's been gone for so long, that it's likely to never show up...

Conker's Bad Fur Day is one of my fav games. I am so happy that I got this back when it came out. It was also the 1st time I was ever carded to buy a game. I have it complete in box and everything is mint condition. I would never think about selling my copy.

I have to say that as a kid I remember seeing Conker in Diddy Kong Racing and he was my favorite racer. So when I had heard that Conker Twelve Tales was going to be a thing I was super excited. Then I remember hearing about Conker's Bad Fur Day and when I played it for the first time I was in huge disbelief. I could not believe that my favorite childhood character from Diddy Kong Racing was not who I thought he was. I'm sure that as a kid I would have loved Conker's Twelve Tales and if it were a thing now, I'm sure I would love it as an adult as well.

Damn the bit with the surgeons is fucking brutal. So awesome. It's such a shame a sequel was never released, it sucks when money and ridiculous rules get in the way of people making something amazing.

All these kids talking about a deleted cutscene being traumatizing when it's a M-rated game. This scene would have actually made more sense than what we got. If you've played the game you'd know there's a part near the end where you feed a vampire by luring villagers into a giant meat grinder. The game was meant to start off happy and get darker as you make progress. If you can't handle the game's darker themes then it's your responsibility to not play it. The final N64 product was already so censored it barely warranted the rating it got.

I got to play twelve tales at E3. I loved it and thought it was much more engaging than Banjo Kazooie. I loved the music on the windmill stage. It just felt so happy and magical. I love Bad Fur Day, but have always been hoping a ROM of Twelve Tales would some day come to light. To think that it's lost forever is sad.

Sadly nobody got the idea of rising a kickstarter to make a sequel for Conker happen.

That Teddiz experimentation scene is very interesting. I've always loved completely out-of-place eerie or scary scenes in otherwise comical games/shows/etc. and this is no exception. And seriously, what is more terrifying than the idea of being cut open and experimented on by evil living teddy bears? Honestly, I've always thought that chapter was already pretty eerie as it is. Of course, it still has Conker's comedy sprinkled on top of it, but it is easily the darkest chapter in the game outside of the ending.

I think the decision to change it to a violent oriented game was because of Sony's PlayStation, at the time Sony had more mature/adult themed games at the time and a good share of kid friendly games. Nintendo only had kid friendly games and still to this day the majority of games on Nintendo are aimed at kids. Although it can be debated if difficulty of games change for them being aimed at kids or not. So they decided to make something unique for Nintendo which at the time Sony didn't had a game at such extremes.

Okay, I need to put a stop to this Nintendo Power misconception. First of all, while there was little to no mention of the game in the magazine _after_ the game came out, there was an article _shortly before_ its release detailing the journey from being a cutesy kids game to being overhauled into something more adult. Second, Nintendo Power still produced an official Player's Guide for the game, which is just as adult as the game itself.

Conkers is hands down my favorite n64 game. I play it every year when i go to see my lil bro for xmas. We have spent countless hours chopping heads off and robbing the bank with weasels.

alright so, typically i don't comment stuff like this on videos but like i always prided myself on being one of those people who generally didn't get bugged by creepy or gross stuff like, for example stuff in the published version of conker's bad fur day gore never bugged me and stuff but like this is something i found genuinely unsettling, in fact I actually had to pause the video and distract myself for a little bit halfway through because of a lot of the footage you showed, and you said that a lot of stuff was /cut out/ of this i've been a fan of your videos for a really long time but this one really takes the cake, you put this together really well and put on a brilliant show i don't think i wouldve been nearly as unnerved as i was if someone else was making this video. so uh, thank you for this i have a lot of respect for you and your videos, keep up the good work!
