Welcome back to the episode 3 of my Japan FPV trip 2024. In this episode we are heading to Mt. Aso from Fukuoka, passed by a very pretty rest area or "roadside station" called Mizube-no-Sato, which features excellent views of cherry blossoms and a valley in Oyamamachi. Furthermore, the museum of Attack on Titan is right next to it. Whipped out my sub100g drone and captured the sweet scenes in high winds.
Then we arrived to the highlight of this episode - Daikanbo viewspot and grand viewpoint of Mount Aso. Sitting on a ridge at almost 1km elevation, they are magnificent viewing spots for sunset, sunrise, and the town of Aso in distance.
It would be a 600m walk from the closest parking lot to the Daikanbo grand viewpoint. Sunset was imminent and it was too late to run up. I sent the Pavo Pico and Toothpico off to the observatory instead. The ELRS antenna snapped mid-flight! Will it survive?!
