At last, someone who actually deserves the award. She is a fantastic football player, a great ambassador for women’s sport, and doesn’t take any shit on the playing field. This year, no one else came close. Beth Mead is a Gooner!!!

So many people complaining about Beth Mead winning, failing to acknowledge that it was a public vote, not a box ticking exercise. For whatever reason Mead resonated with the voting public over the likes of O'Sullivan and Stokes.
