I remember when my nephew first fell and bumped his head; I cried harder than he did! The tears, the guilt; it took a while to go away but eventually its gets better. And you do learn it's all a part of the growing process. Seeing your reaction brought me back to that moment and how far I've come. Can't wait until Zion is walking and talking; repeating Bethany's outbursts and orchestrating shenanigans with Penny. Enjoy each phase, Bethany. And kudos for getting things done!

Thank you for making these vlogs. Lately I have just been so discouraged about how I have had Zero time to write. It was helpful for me to see that you had days where you didn't get to what you had planned so thank you!

You've got this! I can totally relate to that feeling, and have definitely had some bad days (like every other day lol) so I'm living proof we can still get stuff done! (And also that we need to give ourselves grace on the bad days haha)

Yay for a dedicated work space! The thing that motivated me was the exact opposite. I work from home, so I'm at my desk all. the. TIME. In my free time I want to write in a different space. I don't have a laptop, but I bought an ipad keyboard so that I can chill in the recliner and just write to my heart's content. It's not the most comfortable for my hands, but my body and mind are so happy. I'm so sorry Zion fell. Thank goodness babies are resilient. I was miserable all day when my son fell off the bed. Every time I looked at the goose egg on his forehead I felt like I was staring at my own failures, whereas he was totally fine. I am amazed at how you've been motivating yourself through all the setbacks, and you keep making time to pursue writing while life is chaos. These vlogs are so motivating! Thank you for sharing.

And I actually totally get what you're saying, that makes perfect sense and in both our cases it was actually the switching up to a new space that triggered inspiration, so I get it! And I really appreciate the encouragement, thank you, it was so so hard to see him in pain, but you're right that he is a tough cookie! So glad you're enjoying the vlogs! :D

Bethany, Congrats on finishing the revised version of The Secret Gift! That is such a big accomplishment. It is so encouraging to see your progress especially seeing you felt like you didn't have alot of time. It shows how little pocket of times throughout the day can bring so much progress. I'm about to go through my first around of edits for my first novel. I'm nervous, but excited. Thanks for sharing your journey with us. Looking forward to your future videos. Haley

This is the most random comment ever, but those protein shakes are my favorite 😂 They have a chocolate banana flavor that is just amazing. I add mine to iced coffee and that's breakfast lol! Taking care of a wee one while writing is so rough. Your videos inspire me! ❤️

I'm so excited!!!! 12/5!!! It's on my calendar. I always struggle with the "an hour isn't long enough to do anything meaningful" mindset. I've had to start telling myself that 5% done is better than 0% done. It's helped me get more done than before that's for sure!

I also only came to the realization that having a work space is really important. I've been working as a freelancer for the past 3 years, and I'd work wherever I could, and ended up burnout after a while. Having a specific place in the house that is only meant for work really helped me be able to decompress and separate myself from work once I'm off the clock. Can I also just add how cute your baby is?! That phone lock screen is a-do-ra-ble. Tips for babies getting their teeth: put their pacifier in the freezer, give them cold foods, buy him a chew toy (I know babies are not dogs, but it really helps 🤣), buy a remedy from the pharmacy (they have ointments meant for the teeth that work wonders). You probably already know of these tips, but in case you don't, here you have them!

Yeah I wasn't aware of it either, but once a space was carved out it was shockingly helpful haha! And thank you so much haha, he's such a cutie, I love him! I've been trying to do the cold toys and foods and chewies for sure, and honestly tylenol is a lifesaver when they are right about to pop through, but I still feel so bad for him. :( teething looks SO painful!

whoo hoo! I just recently finished my manuscript yesterday and I send it off to a couple of beta readers that I could think of. But do you think beta readers will edit my manuscript even though it's a sequel? One of my beta readers I already worked with which I contacted her. But where do you find beta readers? And a cover designer?
