I’ve always grown up thinking big curly hair was so beautiful. I’m Greek and my mom and her brother have always had their hair natural so it made me feel confident to keep it long and curly too. Although my grandmother being from a different generation would always tell my mom her hair was too wild and that she should get it straightened like she did. My mom never did and embraced and loved her hair. Whenever I see someone wear their hair natural I always make sure to complement them and reassure them that it’s beautiful!

Yes. Anyone can wear whatever they want! The problem is when you get a certain look you think you're something or someone else. We wear long blonde 40 inches of straight weave all the time. It's never that serious. But if a Bih doing too much regardless what race you need to be checked

@BET Her First thing first, I love the show and love what your doing. I didn’t know about the show, but I love it already.. Now, here’s where I’m confused at, why there’s 2.6Kviews 4 months ago and only 79 likes and I’m going to even mention how many dislikes, but really though, so disrespectful on behalf of the comparison. You would think out the 2.6K views you would have more likes🤔‼️ So disrespectful, wow. You ladies are beautiful and doing it. Respect, respect you ladies to the fullest🌹 New Orleans🎭

Why not allow people of mixed-race backgrounds to "open the door" to a multi-cultural environment? Remember "black: is the presence of all colors". They can sneak into" the business workplace and make impact!! This is only the 3rd person of Chinese/Black cultures I've ever heard of in 40 years!

Wow, ladies, so it's okay for you to wear smooth hair, blond hair, but white women shouldn't wear curly hair or braids? Seriously? Here's a clue: IT'S JUST HAIR! No one is calling you a clown when you choose to wear smooth or blond hair. If you have highlights in your skin, blond hair looks fabulous on you. If it looks good, WEAR IT! No one owns ANY LOOK. I can send you a pic of me at age 5 with the nappiest hair you ever saw! And guess what, I like Asian food, too! So b/c I am not Asian, should I NOT eat or love Asian food? GEEZ. You're playing a race card here, and it's not a good look on you.

Annie in KC have you ever been told that your natural hair is not appropriate for the workplace? Until you’ve experienced what it’s like to be a black woman, please be quiet.

Have you been told not to wear body piercings, not to wear tatoos? I know people who have. Everyone has stuff to deal with on these jobs. When my boss was promoted to head of our Wash DC agency, she immediately asked HR to bring me there to be her Admin Asst, but we were told that EEO and the Fed'l gov't that this position had to be filled by a black woman, who typed 35 wpm, while I typed 95 wpm. DEAL with it. You're not the only one.

Annie in KC You are so right! Nobody likes to be judged or told what to wear or not. It has nothing to do with your skin color or hair type! I understand that there comes a lot of history with black hair and hair styles and people think it’s inappropriate for caucasians to wear braids, etc when in the mean time 90% of all donated Asian, Russian , Brazilian and Peruvian hair is sold to black women. It is billion dollar market. I do not see the difference! Black women wear Caucasian hair - white women wear braids, etc. If ppl don’t like to be judged, well, why don’t they stop to judge others!?

@@keinohrtini Exactly. I used to sell Naomi Sims, Raquel Welch, etc hair to the wig shops and beauty shops in 1995. Eva Gabor off of Green Acres was our spokesperson, until she fell, broke her hip, & died of pneumonia. It was a wig & hair distribution ctr here in Kansas City called Eva Gabor Wigs, now known as HairUWear (it's on HSN or QVC now). It's JUST HAIR, ladies! And we all like it! The 1940s flappers wore braids all of the time.

@@keinohrtini White women are not the only people in the world with straight hair🙄 Weaves come from all over the world. There are simple reasons why Black women wear weaves, and for most, it has ZERO to do with wanting to resemble a White woman.
