We figured we’d give Beto @ONDGAS a REAL challenge after mopping up again and again on TvT, so we took him off the street and into the dirt. Madman that he is he grabbed a brand new RAM 1500 TRX and chopped off half the cab, making the stock 700+ horses go that much farther. He’s up against Ryan and his corporate mud machine, a Polaris NorthStar UTV. It’s only got 100hp, sure, but it’s nimble wheel and suspension setup could take it all the way.

I think the old this vs that format was good with the chaos and little bit info. Some people are just awkward in front of cameras. Plus it’s just people talking about their cars. The old format yal would joke, have facial expressions on certain mods or call them out. Now it’s “ so I see you have this wheel, sit there and wait till they finish explaining, I also see you have this, sit there wait till they finish, I see you have this dash, sit there wait etc……

@@DLeeJ a trx isn’t designed to take jumps like that I wouldn’t be surprised if there was serious suspension/frame damage to it because of this race, the Polaris is way lighter in weight and has more travel so it can manage those jumps much better

It may have a “Baja mode” but that doesn’t mean the truck it self can structurally withstand taking jumps like that, true purpose built Baja vehicles have hundreds of thousands of dollars invested into the suspension and body alone which allow them to take large jumps and still be fine

@@1216jimmyz 3:05, confirms it again at around 3:25. It’s lowered an inch. And he’s only running 33s, factory is 35s. That’s an inch of ground clearance lost there. So overall 2” lower than a stock trx

I love the look of that 2-Door TREX looks bloody Amazing! If I could buy one off Beto and get it shipped to Australia where I live I'd own one for absolute fucking sure!!!!

A 2 door TRX, as it should be. Extending the bed forward a bit was definitely the right choice. That thing looks amazing, love the color. The UTV looks really good too, almost like a baby G class.

Sorry, putting the Northstar edition Ranger is the slowest and least performing SxS in their lineup is kinda meh… Put a bone stock Polaris RZR Pro XP or the Pro-R up there would have been more realistic to show what SxS are these days.
