When I was in high school and vocational school, for profit schools would come in and give a presentation to encourage kids to attend. I wonder how much money they pay to do that, and why is that allowed?

The sad truth about some of these for profit colleges is that employers don't value their degrees. Therefore they never get an interview in their respective fields. Their degrees are basically worthless.

I have yet to find a single reason to attend one of these. They cost more and give you less. Sadly, I know several people who have been duped. None of them worked out. My wife won a law suit against a local one because they said her credits would transfer to local state school, which was a lie... of course!

Best solution to this problem, build up public transport, especially railway systems, rebuild the infrastructure, and then ban private schools wholesale. Then we take a model much like Japan where you choose you high school and the high school chooses to admit you based on performance. We also need to fund the schools better and possibly augment their funding with things like a wallstreet tax or a tax on things like weed, once it is legalized nationally.
