I love these they're in all my Betta tanks. Love them so much that I refuse to put synthetic decor in my tank with the only exception being these logs because the fish absolutely love them.

My betta LOVES his log!! That is where I feed him in the morning, so when he is hungry he goes to the log, On Sunday, his fast day, he goes to the log hoping I will forget what day it is!! Also goes there if there are too much activity going on outside the tank.

I had one of these for a bumblebee betta. He spent most of his time in there but I had to secure it to the side of the aquarium. None of my bettas enter if it's moving. Lol Otherwise a fantastic hide for bettas. The top hole is so that they don't have to leave the log to get a breath of air.

My extremely aggressive halfmoon male loves his log a whole lot. I'd say this is a must in any Betta tank

I attached a suction cup to it so it doesnt move around with the current, betta loved it always sitting there and coming out of it when it was feeding time, it's a must in tanks that are poorly scaped

My little girl loved hers which made me sad because I thought it was ugly and took up too much room in my 5 gal, but I learned to live with it since it made her happy.

Hi Joanna! I loved seeing your Bettas reactions. Some of my Bettas like these logs, and some prefer perching on plant leaves. I did the same as another commenter....sanded down some rough spots on the inside. 😊

Hi - writing from Scotland!!! I do not have the logs - but on the Betta club site on Facebook that I dip into - the owners are always mentioning them and the fact that their Bettas love them!!! It was nice to see the video on what they look like & how they work - you 2 were very happy to go inside.........people say they sleep in there and rest - I got a hammock for both of mine but they do not seem interested in them at all ........ other people say their Betta's love them too for sleeping and resting on!!!! I can see why one of the comments lower down says the person secured it to the glass - I can picture mine - if I got them - floating around the surface!!!!!

I have two of them for my both bettas .. They LOVE it!! I had different logs (tubes) before but these are the winners! Tip: gotta wash them and check for any tiny sharp edges before putting them in the tank.

I believe black cellular core pvc or maybe it’s foam core ABS pipe or something….will be workable DIY alternative. I have some 1.5 inch diameter stuff and I know it floats. 2 and 3” should be available also. Buy a 10’ stick and make a boatload for all your friends!

My betta Barney sleeps in his log every night lol! All my bettas have hides. I get half coconut shells with suction cups and custom made hides off Etsy. Yes the love logs!!!! These start to sink after awhile.

My Bettas actually loved the floating log. Monet would swim through it and sleep in it. Buddy slept in his mostly. 🐠🐟

I had one of these in each of my Betta tanks. Even when it wasn't caught under the lid, they went in it all the time. Only thing was, both of mine had really long tails and fins, so I sanded the inside as there were a couple of rough bits. I now have 2 floating logs, but no Betta as both died 😔

My old betta, Leonidas, loved his!! Even only ate in it (,: I was skeptical but it was well worth the purchase!

Many moon ago before this product ever came on the market I made my own with real wood. Drill a few holes accordingly and attach suction cups, simple natural and almost free‼️☮️🤙

All three of my bettas have the log and love it. That's where they always sleep at night.

I have tunnels I made out of black craft mesh that are attached to the side of the tank, and all of my Bettas like those. You can attach moss to the craft mesh to make it look more natural, and it is a bit cheaper. Then I bought this Betta Log and tried it out with all 5 of my Bettas, but they seemed to prefer their craft tunnels, maybe out of habit or maybe because I didn't attach it to the side and just let it float. However, my newest King Koi Plakat loves this tunnel, so I didn't even offer a craft mesh tunnel. He rests in and swims through it, and I feed him through the hole in the top. So cute!

I keep these in various sizes in all of my tanks. Great for bettas and bn plecos. Bonus that it collects bacteria,so when I have newly hatched fry,I put one of these logs in with some guppy grass and they have something to snack on during non feeding times. My bettas love them!

My girl loves this log. She is very selfish with it. It’s her throne and if any other fish try it she chases them out. She doesn’t really like it moving so I attach it to the side either with 2 cleaning magnets or a suction cup. This is the only thing she loves. I put a mirror in sometimes for a few minutes. The black skirted tetras are divas and love to look at themselves so my betta doesn’t get a chance. Kids🤷🏼‍♀️

Thank you so much for making this video. I purchased my first betta on Saturday. I watched your video Saturday evening and went out and bought a betta log the next day. Captain Whidbey absolutely loves it! He went in to explore almost immediately. I feed him there and no matter where he is in the tank he heads right in for dinner. He has very long fins and I was worried about him having enough places to rest even in my planted tank. No problem at all now, he goes in his log to rest. And when the tank lights start to dim at night he heads right for bed in his log and lays almost entirely on his side. So wonderful to see he has his own room! I took the advice of others who commented and sanded the inside a bit. Thank you again, I always enjoy your videos.

I have one in the 20h and one on the 15g. Gumbo, the red koi, loves his and uses it all the time. Curazao, the blue rim in the 15g isn't very impressed, but I've seen the corydoras play in it. Lol

I have one that one betta just loves it and I moved it to another tank and that betta was like "big woop, a floating log." and he just swam away without a backwards glance... Great video Joanna! Thank you!!

My betta has one and he does use it. But not as often since his guppy grass is getting bigger. He rest on it now more.

I have three of them...my loaches also like them. Lol 😆

Must have product for any fish that can swim through it. Also good for sick fish, blind fish...or if you have a lot of fish and feed them through the top hole. Adds dimension to the tank and it's a great swim through. I would never be without it. They also have larger versions. Sometimes you have to wedge it between some plants or decor so it doesn't float around like crazy.

I adore the baby talk to your Bettas! I do the same to my fish, especially my Goldfish and my Dojo Loach. 😁🥰 I'm wondering if my Dojo Loach might like one of these. He likes to swim up into and rest on the floating plastic plant I have. Might give it a try. 😊

I have the bigger version of the floating log and my betta absolutely loves chilling in it. I often catch him half in and out of the log looking over his little kingdom. Lol

Tired it with 2 males and a female but unfortunately none ever used it at all. They were each in tanks with no other fish so that could be a factor. P.S. a tip from others, sand the inside of the log. It is very sharp in there.

These logs are great !! Grape The Betta has one and she sleeps in it and her nerite pal likes to also float around on it and helps keep it all clean for her. I will have to get another one for my crowntail red male who is not yet named. Keep up the awesome work !!!!

My bettas love these too! But after a few months one log sank and I could never make it float again. Thankfully the betta in that tank still plays with it even though it's just sitting on the substrate 😆

I made a diy one from plastic canvas, and it was a dud. The pothos roots were much more interesting.

I have 2 of those. One actually sank to the bottom of the tank after about a month or so which was odd. I also bought their log that sits on the bottom of the tank. I think it's made out of clay? It has some weight to it. My bettas seemed to like that more.

Can you do a video about easy carpeting plants. I had dwarf hair grass, but it died. Like plants that can carpet with lower lighting and no Co2. Thanks

All my bettas have the logs and all 5 of mine love them and actually use them.😊 I also bought the zoomed betta mirror they are good too. All my boys flare at it for exercise. Looks like you are buying a second log Joanna lol

My baby boy is at the point of being fully grown and I think he's ready for one of these.My betta tank needs to be redecorated so when I do that I'll put mine in. I'm so glad you tried it out and your bettas liked it 💕 The other thing I have for the beta tank is the Aqueon betta beads for the substitute substrate. I haven't used them yet either but that'll be in the new setup too

I guess my betta is just weird cuz I’ve heard EVERYONE say their betta likes it but she just never cared for any hides. When she sleeps she just floats near the surface in the middle of the tank. She used to swim through it sometimes in the beginning but eventually she just ignored it completely. I ended up taking it out and replacing it with floaters. Maybe my next betta will be a little more normal, but I couldn’t have asked for a better pet ❤

If I had a betta I would probably buy one or duplicate with a real one. I try to keep only natural things in my aquariums. I had a large resin log years ago that built up gas inside that started killing my fish. There was no water movement inside it because it was closed off. After that natural all the way.

My alien Betta Hiu (pronounced like Hugh - means hungry in Thai) isn't afraid of it, but doesn't really go in there...he is definitely more of a bottom dweller betta and prefers to swim in and around the stem plants...I'm going to try to see if my other Betta Nami likes it, she is a bit more active than Hiu so she may enjoy it more than he does :-)

Hi Joanna, I dont have a log yet for my bettas but have looked at them in the past. Great to see your beautiful bettas were not afraid and seemed to enjoy swimming through it. Quick question if you don't mind: I noticed you dont have the tube on top of your sponge filters, so there are no issues to leave it off? Am asking because my hospital tank (which I like to use for a sick betta so it doesnt have to swim up too much to get to the surface to take a breath) is on the small side and it can be tricky to make sure the water stays above the plastic tube at all times. It would help if I could just leave it off. Thanks heaps. 🌹

My son has one for his betta, and the betta LOVES that thing. My adult son is so overly proud of himself for having gone to the pet store by himself and picking ir out. Puffs his chest...See I KNOW what my boy likes, we right here, eye to eye. Cracks me up. He just set up one community aquarium, first time he ever showed any interest in aquariums or fish and 2 weeks later he's got a 4g betta tank beside the community tank. Hmmmm...do I see signs of MTS developing? Well, if so, he comes by it honestly, 😄 And there are far worse things to be obsessed/addicted to than aquariums and fish. 👍❤👍

I could've used a log like that back in my married day's to hide from my wife.

Not a fan of it floating freely. Can you blend it in with the scape. It takes away from the beauty of your scapes.
