I bought a Chibson Explorer off eBay and I love it. The stock pickups sucked so they're being replaced (along with the pots). I wired in an Iron Age killswitch and it's getting a set of Seymour Duncan Hot Rodded Humbucker Set. Right out of the box, it played nicely. After I changed the strings, it brought it to life. For $250, I've played much worse guitars. The biggest thing I love about mine is the neck is chunky and wide. I've got a big fretting hand and it makes it so easy to play.

It looks striking! I suspect we may have used the same seller as my story is almost identical. I requested they make the Lzzy Hale signature explorer in white and it's practically the same as yours.

Looks stunning, however you should have had gibson removed from the headstock. Looking forward to the pickup upgrade because to my ears those currently in it sound awful.

I laugh my ass off at these cats that buy a Gibson Explorer, Les Paul, Les Paul SG, Flying V etc... from Ali Express for under $200 and then post about how awful it is because it isn't identical to a $6,000 Made in the USA Authentic Gibson guitar. I mean, you can purchase seymour Duncan replica pickups for less than $10 and (they do not suck), do a setup (the guitar just travelled from the other side of the planet by boat through multiple environmental changes), level abd polish the frets, put good strings on it and use a good 1/4" High Z (high impedance) instrument cable when plugging it up and lastly... Plug it into a good amp, not some of the crappy amplifiers Ive seen these other guys play through. But yeah. I'm with you, for the price, you cannot beat these Chibson Gibson Guitars. Also, Keep in mind that there are dozens of guitar manufacturing facilities over there that Ali Express deals through, so you have to be mindful and pay attention to the rating of the facility that you are buying your guitar(s) from and make sure they have a satisfaction rating of at least 90% or higher and you will have a good experience and receive a quality guitar (for the price range) and like dude said... Be cool and play Explorer guitars! (Or at least a Les Paul). 😎🤘💯

That is a nice guitar ...

It is a beauty, but the thing that stands out to me the most (other than the headstock shape) is that 3-screw truss rod cover.

What did it end up costing you in total?

Considering that Gibson's quality standards have been in the toilet for years, they could learn from these Chinese manufactures. It's sad when the copies are better than the real deal. Good video.

I like binding block inlay slim taper neck and if its Asian I dont want a fake Gibson name on it. Id rather the main worker that put their spirit into the craftsmanship put their name on it . And smoke the fukinsheet out of it and praise it

If jipson cared about you they would have made that for you at what you paid for it and take out there competitors but the name gibson comes with authorized guitar snobs needed for survival they protect with all hubris and mightier than thou's price snobbery for those dependant on one upmanship and stature.

Gibson is over rated for the price you don't get much ...after seeing in their plant I think they are all production I bought a ventge...that was relocked and is a pro shop ..I'd take it over any lp it's a hold top copy but the gold top is the heat gold top the pick ups are pro models and are satin on the neck and rock on the back ...but like a strat ot thr one you.get and how you take care of it i have an sg i have played 3 times love ot wouldnt sell it but,dont play it
