Hey guys, did you know that in terms of Ditto catching in PokeMMO, Vaporeon is the most profitable for players? Not only are they water type, which allows for a Net Ball bonus when Dittos transform into them, they have the perfect base stats when Lonely and 0 Defense making them strong enough to Pay Day a transformed Ditto to get it into catching range without fainting it. Those base stats in combination with Yawn, you can easily catch one on turn 3. They can also learn Surf & Waterfall, so that they can absorb incoming attacks from the Ditto with the ability Water Absorb. Vaporeon is literally built for Ditto catching. No other Pokemon comes close to this level of profitability. Maxing Yawn PP and bringing multiple means you can catch Dittos all day.

also yawn is learned when you evolve it from eevee to vaporeon, you dont need to egg breed it or heart scale it, just evolve eevee into vaporeon and it will learn it.

interesting strat, seems pretty profitable. never even thought about the net ball strat

did some calc for this spot. here is what you want: Atk31, Def7, lonely, no silk scarf or Akt31, Def16, Naughty, silk scarf both with 252 atk EV.

I dont even use the Forretress strat. What I do is use a Smeargle at Desert Underpass (Fallarbor Town, Hoenn) Payday Spore Substitute False swipe Unless its a Ditto with a hidden ability (Only available during Alpha spawns), use spore and make the ditto fall asleep on the first turn. Then Substitute and False Swipe and use Dusk ball and more often I've noticed that the ditto gets caught on either the first or the second dusk ball itself on the un-transformed version. You are only gonna encounter Whismur & Loudred if you dont encounter ditto and that's where Payday does the work.

I don't think you have to breed Yawn onto Vaporeon. They start with Yawn when you give Eevee a water stone. It's only an egg move if you want Eevee itself to have Yawn to pass onto other Eeveelutions.

The strat i use i pritty simple. I just use a smeargle. First spore then on 2nd turn falswipe. Some time ditto will wake up but many times it wont. Then if it sleeps use dreamball. May be once ditto wont be caught . But almost all times itll.

Just use a heart scale to relearn yawn with vaporeon saving all the time that it take to breed and lvl up

Im personally a bigger fan of using a sync uturn into rest sturdy strategy. Not only does this remove the rng of payday, I gives you significant bonus cash if you get the sync nature along with 31 speed/ att/spa (depending on what sync). You also have 0 chance of failing catch in the 2 turns you throw balls. However does require training link which is very expensive

Bit confused... so the catch rate for Ditto does not change after it transforms (set at first encounter) so why do Net Balls work after it transforms to Vaporeon...?
