Martin- I found your story very enlightening with the genuine heart of your love of duck hunting and other outdoor activities. Unfortunately for me. I lost my duck hunting buddy years ago. Just never gone back since. We would drive after working late to Mendota Wildlife Refuge in Fresno, California. It's about a 2.5 hour drive rain, tooley fog you name it. We were avid duck hunters. I sure do miss my friend. I'm glad you have friends who can share your love of the great outdoors. Yes Sir, Family is so Important ! Duck Dynasty have a Bigger Family than you all may realize. For my wife and myself. We Love the Shows and all the new stuff too. We watch most all the Hunting and Fishing Vids and Shows we can find. You Sir are Honest and Stable ! We Love getting to know the Real You. Also were very happy as your life is getting better. Please keep on making video's and sharing with all of us. Im not a Duck Hunter. I shld be here tho. Ive eaten Duck. We went hunting moose at a place called Tangle lakes down on the Susitna River. We were 2 of us in a Scanoe and paddling across the first of 3 land lock lakes. We started seeing dead ducks floating. We said we got to see whats up ? So we grabbed a Duck out of the water and seen that a hunter or 2 or ? Had been shooting Ducks then Just carving out the Brest. We were sad to see this. Then a fish and game officer. Came up to us and ask if we knew anything. Of course ww did not. It was sad to see. There were many people around earlier in the week before. We were there for Moose. We did find a Huge Cow with the Biggest Ears you ever seen. From a distance she Looked like a legal Bull with a Big Rack. Females only legal in some areas in Interior Alaska sometimes. So we crept up slowly walked around both sides of a small tribatary. Then we seen it was a Huge Cow. She had these Enormous Ears

Amen to this segment Justin !I've lived the way you believe it should always be in life as a duck hunter .Always leave a positive attitude with young hunters n the future of duck hunting .I've been a 60 day duck hunter for 45 years and have taken dozens of first time duck hunters in this time and everyone of them are still right with the lord Almighty n avid duck hunters , may god bless you and all that follow you ! I to am a crappie machine, limits are a regular thing…but I like to chase the ducks so much because they are a bit trickier for me to really pin down.

I grew up deer hunting I've harvesting 4 geese this summer I'm gonna gear up for ducks hopefully me and my 11 year son can get on some come time and get him hooked I don't know where to start I'll figure it out

When we figured the Moose was a Cow we had no way to get a good pic. We left and went hunting else where in the same area. We also had Tags for Caribou in the same area. We cldnt find any right away but after the 3rd lake sitting on a Bluff looking down on a Grizzly just after maki g dinner. We left food cooler down on that edge of the Bluff. We slept ok with pistols under pillows. We then Portage again hiking to Dickey lake for Some Fishing and as we got up on these lil big hills we were finding these narrow trails. We figured we were into Caribou trails. Then we wld come over a Bluff then all the sudden we seen many Caibou. But they also seen us. Boom they were gone. Lil to far for a Good Shot. We tried to wait them out. Then tried to trick them but they were to smart for us in these trails they must have known well. So we got to Dickey Lake and Caught some Salmon and Trout. We were happy. Even though we didnt find our big game we had an Amazing time. Hunting there. It was kind of a long trip. All though it was Great fun despite the work. The Person I was with was my Father in Law Don Hofland. A great man like yourself. Family is very important. He moved down to South Dakota. Lives Hunts and Fishes there Now. Martin, I live in Fresno ca.and I'm a ca state electrician, I'm a Sunday school teacher and my dad was an avid deer hunter when I was young but he never would take me and I begged him every year, but he would say son we're packing in on horseback and you can't go you're to young. Now ca really stinks for a hunter/fisherman, I've bought a bow and guns and I'm stuck not going deer hunting and most of my family are elderly
